One BIG advantage of agisting in a herd environment is that you don't have to maintain a second horse as "companion" if you only own one. Seeing these two get on so well makes me smile. There was a lot of mutual grooming and napping going on this morning 🐎🐎🐎🐎. Horses NEED other horses to relax and to live a quality life ❤️

Jack has been out of work for about 5 months. I feel like he's had never-ending restarts...but better that that not starting at all 😉. If you are struggling to find the motivation, I feel you. Just try something really simple...hand walks...anything at all apart from feeding and maintenance. The ground is now firm enough that we both have a chance of keeping our footing. Unfit and unbalanced but doing it anyway🤙. Work in progress....

Joe is almost ready to join in with the herd ....we paddock newcomers solo on arrival for quarantine for 14 days. This enables us to get to now them better and understand their needs...then we go through an introduction period before joining them with a herd. He's a big softie with impeccable manners so I am sure it will go smoothly.
