Information regarding my conures.
Conures are a long term commitment, 20+ years.
They need a variety of fruit and vegetables as well as nuts and seed.
They need daily socialising with their human companions.
Conure breeding season is spring/summer.
I usually have up to two clutches per season. I will not over breed my birds for financial gain. If all bubs have been adopted you will need to wait until the following season. I do take expressions of interest and deposits to hold a bird once each season has begun. (Aug-dec approx)
Prices reflect the time, effort and money I put into hand raising social friendly birds, and also to help assure me that consideration has gone into the decision to adopt a companion bird.
Conures make great family pets, but as with all birds, they use their beak to explore, and express emotions, nips happen. Even if infrequently, and even if just in play. Please consider this before adopting.
I do not clip wings.
Baby birds will not go to their new homes before they are fully weaned onto solids. This is usually around 12 weeks. I will not force this process to happen before they are ready.
Baby birds will be fledged before going to their new home. This means they will be flying.
I highly recommend looking into recall training to continue any training I have started.
I can also begin harness training but this will also need to be continued yourself so I highly recommend doing some research first if you have not trained birds before. YouTube offers some excellent tutorials and advice on these subjects.
