Hi, I’m Sherie 👋 – the face behind The Cat Stylist.
I’m a Certified Feline Master Groomer (CFMG), Certified Feline Creative Groomer (CFCG), and a certifier for National Cat Groomers Institute, training future CFMGs across Australia.
I started out working in animal rescue and as a dog groomer, but my heart (and career) shifted to cats over 10 years ago — and I’ve never looked back.
I’m a proud crazy cat lady and will happily talk about cats any chance I get! 😺
But beyond that, I’m also a wife, step-mum to two teenagers, fur-mum to three very spoilt cats and a poodle (who insists he’s also a cat 😂), an avid fantasy bookworm, alternative music lover, and a travel ju**ie with a goal to see the world 🌎
My days are full – but every cat I meet reminds me why I love what I do 💛

After 3 incredible weeks and over 10,000km on the road, we’re finally home — dusty, grateful, and still smiling! 🚗✨

The sh*tboxrally was the reason for the trip, raising funds for the Cancer Council, and what a ride it’s been! Our little Camry conquered it all — including the wild Gibb River Road and the mighty Pentecost Crossing — without a single hiccup! 💪🚙

We travelled from Perth to Darwin via Murchison, Auski, Pardoo, Derby, Home Valley, and Victoria River, then took the scenic way home down the Stuart Highway, stopping at gems like Daly Waters, Tennant Creek, Uluru, Port Augusta, Broken Hill, and Dubbo.

This adventure has raised an incredible $2.7 million for cancer research, and we’re so proud to have been part of it. 💛 But beyond the cause, it’s been amazing to experience the heart of our country — the red dirt, the road trains, the roadhouses, and the people we’ve met along the way.

We are on officially on leave and on our way to Perth to start the Winter 2025—an 8-day adventure from Perth to Darwin in a car worth $1500, all in support of the Cancer Council.

Yes, short-haired cats shed ALOT, and that undercoat can really build up and cause painful matting.
