This time of year, we start to see more cases of kennel cough going around. It spreads easily (a bit like the common cold) especially when dogs are spending more time indoors and in close contact with each other.

If your dog develops that classic dry, honking cough (you’ll know it when you hear it), along with a runny nose or just seems a little flat, it could be kennel cough.

A few simple steps can help protect your pet this winter:

As many of you know, last Friday marked Kath’s last day with us 💛

Kath has played an incredibly important and pivotal role in shaping our clinic into what it is today. Her dedication, leadership and passion have been at the heart of everything we do, and quite simply, we wouldn’t be where we are without her.

Over the years, Kath has made such a meaningful impact on so many of our patients and their families — including helping guide over 150 puppies through their puppy pre-school journey. Her commitment to giving puppies the very best start in life is something we are all so proud of.

Kath is not only an amazing person and a supportive, inspiring manager, but also a devoted mum who brings so much care and compassion into everything she does.

While we are all incredibly sad to see her go, we are also so excited for her next chapter. Kath has taken on a role with the RSPCA at Wacol — a move closer to home and one that reflects her deep passion for animal welfare. We know she will continue to make a huge difference.

Kath has shared how sad she is to be leaving the team, but also how proud she is of everything we’ve achieved together — and we feel exactly the same.

Thank you for everything, Kath. You have left a lasting mark on our clinic, our team, and our patients 💫 We wish you all the very best — you will be so missed.
