We will be closed this Monday the 1st of June as we observe National Reconciliation Week.

Reconciliation is more than a word — it’s an ongoing journey of truth, respect, healing, and unity. It means acknowledging the impacts of Australia’s history on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while working together to build a future grounded in equality, understanding, and opportunity for all Australians.

Together, we can create a future where every person has the same chances, choices, and respect, regardless of their background. 🌏

🐾 Happy Receptionists Day! 🐾

Today we celebrate the friendly faces who greet you (and your furry family!) the moment you walk through our doors. Our reception team keeps the clinic running smoothly — answering calls, comforting nervous pets, scheduling visits, and making sure every client feels welcome.

Your kindness, patience, and dedication make all the difference. Thank you for being the heart of our clinic! 💚

📣 Please be aware that Canberra Vet Emergency Service (CVES) is now operating in Lyneham at 2 Barton Highway, and now called AES Canberra.

We’ve moved and rebranded!

Canberra Veterinary Emergency Service is now operating from our new hospital in Lyneham as Animal Emergency Service Canberra.

🌟 Same dedicated emergency team.
🌟 Same trusted after‑hours care and services.
🌟 Same commitment to clear, compassionate support when you need it most.

While our name and location has changed, our local team, values, and approach to patient‑first emergency care remain exactly the same.

This Saturday, we pause to reflect on the meaning of ANZAC Day — a time to honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who have served and continue to serve.

At our clinic, we also recognise the often-overlooked role animals have played in times of conflict — from loyal horses and messenger pigeons to the working dogs who stood alongside soldiers in challenging conditions. Their service is a reminder of the deep bond between humans and animals, built on trust, loyalty, and care.

As we remember the past, we’re grateful for the opportunity to continue caring for the animals who enrich our lives every day.

Lest we forget.
