A very important message from Phoebe 📢📢

As I get a little older and a little slower, your care helps me stay active, comfortable, and cheerful. Whether it’s a routine appointment or something more serious, you always treat me with such kindness and professionalism. It really shows that you care deeply about what you do—and that means a lot.

Thank you for the work you do every day to help pets like me live well, and for always being a bright spot in our lives.

With slobbery gratitude,
Phoebe the Newfoundland
(a bit dribbly, very grateful)

Baby Beardie, Big Appetite!

Marshmallow is a 5 months old bearded dragon who presented to us after refusing to eat for 5-6 days. After feeling a firm round structure in his belly, we popped the ultrasound probe on and became very suspicious that he had eaten something he shouldn't have.

To find out exactly what was causing the issue, Marshmallows team [Dr Katie, Nurse Alli, and Nurse Jas] took him into surgery. As it turns out, Marshmallow mistook an aquaload ball (hydration for crickets) for his own food! Unfortunately for Marshmallow, being only 38 grams meant that this ball got stuck in his intestines. Luckily, we were able to surgically remove the foreign body from his intestines and suture him back together.

Although Marshmallow isn't quite in the clear until his intestines have healed, he has been so brave and we had to share this little guys story!

🐀 Wonton's Wayward Tooth 🐀

Wonton the rat visited Dr Juliane for an overgrowth of his incisor teeth. These are the teeth rats use for gnawing on things and they continue to grow in length constantly. Usually they are worn down by daily chewing but in some cases, like Wonton's, veterinary intervention is needed.

Dr Juliane trimmed the teeth while Wonton was under anaesthesia and he had lots of play time with the staff during his recovery!
