🐎 CLIP OPTIONS

FULL CLIP

Everything removed — face, ears, neck, body, and legs.
Ideal for horses in heavy work, competition, or showing.
Option to leave the saddle area on if required.

FEATHER BLENDING OPTION

For horses with feathers that you’d like to keep.

The clip is carefully blended at the knees and hocks to create a natural transition between clipped and un-clipped areas — avoiding harsh lines and giving a smooth, professional finish.
Also a great option for softening leg lines on body clips.

BODY CLIP

Removes the body, neck, and half face (from behind the ears to the mouth line).
Designed to sit neatly under the bridle, with options to adjust around the jawline or leave the face on.
Legs remain on, with the option to leave the saddle area.

BLANKET & TRACE CLIPS

Great for horses early in the season or those needing a balance of warmth and sweat management.

Blanket clip:
Leaves a “blanket” of hair over the back while removing neck, chest, shoulders, and much of the body — targeting high sweat areas.

Trace clip:
A lighter version, leaving more of the neck and body depending on your horse’s needs.

HALF CLIP

Targets key sweat areas while keeping more natural coverage.
Runs diagonally from the flank/stifle to the wither, removing the girth, chest, shoulders, neck, and half face (optional).
Back, hindquarters, and legs remain on.

HIGH BIB CLIP

A more minimal clip for light work.
Removes the girth, chest, and underside of the neck, finishing at the gullet.
Leaves most of the neck, body, legs, and face.

🎨 PATTERNS & DESIGNS

Add something unique with a custom design.

From names and symbols to fun, creative ideas — designs can be tailored to suit your horse.
Options available for one or both sides.

💬 BOOKINGS

If you’re unsure which clip will best suit your horse, I’m more than happy to guide you.

🔴 RED LIGHT & INFRARED THERAPY 🔴

Here’s a clear overview of what red light, near infrared, and blue light therapy is, how it works, and how it can benefit your horse.

Also known as Photobiomodulation (PBM) or Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), this treatment works at a cellular level to support healing, recovery, and overall wellbeing.

🐎 Who is it for?

Red light therapy is suitable for:

✔ Horses in work or competition
✔ Horses recovering from injury or surgery
✔ Horses experiencing body discomfort or soreness
✔ Young horses in development
✔ Older horses needing support and comfort (including arthritis)

👉 It’s a safe, effective, and non-invasive treatment that works with the body — not against it.

🔬 How Does It Work?

Red and infrared light pe*****te into the tissues and are absorbed by the cells, specifically the mitochondria (the cell’s energy source).

This increases cellular energy (ATP), allowing the body to:
• Repair more efficiently
• Reduce inflammation
• Improve overall function

👉 Think of it as stimulating the body’s natural healing processes

✨ Key Benefits

✔ Reduced inflammation & swelling
✔ Improved circulation & blood flow
✔ Faster tissue repair & recovery
✔ Pain relief (muscle, joint, back)
✔ Enhanced muscle recovery
✔ Support for tendon & ligament healing
✔ Improved coat condition

🧠 Additional Support

Red light therapy may also assist with:
• Nerve support & regeneration
• Bone healing and density support
• Lymphatic drainage & immune function
• Wound healing
• Arthritis management

🔵 Blue Light Therapy

Blue light works more on the surface of the skin and is commonly used for:

✔ Wound care and bacterial control
✔ Skin conditions (mud fever, greasy heel, rain scald)
✔ Supporting coat health and seasonal changes

🧬 Whole Body Benefits

This therapy supports multiple systems within the body:
• Lymphatic system → improved drainage & reduced swelling
• Circulatory system → increased blood flow
• Musculoskeletal system → recovery & repair
• Immune system → overall resilience
• Respiratory & digestive systems → supportive effects through improved circulation

🔁 My Sessions

I offer full-body red light therapy sessions, tailored to your horse’s needs.

✨ A popular option is a combination session:
Bodywork followed by red light therapy — helping the horse both release tension and support deeper recovery

All leg boots used are multi-radiant, incorporating:
🔴 Red light
🌑 Infrared
🔵 Blue light

💬 Final Note

There are so many benefits to this therapy — it’s hard to list them all — but the goal is simple:

👉 Helping your horse feel better, move better, and recover better

📩 If you have any questions or would like to book a session, feel free to message me.

Hi, I’m Isobel Christian — the face behind Winters Hill Equine Services.

I work with horses across Southern Tasmania, helping them move comfortably, feel better, and perform at their best.

My approach is practical and horse-first. Every horse is treated as an individual, with sessions tailored to what they need — whether they’re in regular work, competing, or simply not feeling quite right.

🐴 Services I offer:

• Equine Bodywork
Hands-on bodywork to identify and release muscle tension, improve movement, and support overall comfort.
This can help with stiffness, unevenness, resistance under saddle, and maintaining performance horses.

• Red Light Therapy
A non-invasive therapy used to support healing, circulation, and recovery.
Often used alongside bodywork or for horses needing additional support with soreness or injury management.

• Professional Clipping
Calm, patient clipping for all types of horses, including young or sensitive horses.
Clipping is commonly used through the cooler months to help manage coat, sweating, and comfort in horses that are in work.
