My dogs absolutely ❤️ blueberries!! 🫐

Research shows that feeding dogs🐶 blueberries🫐 as treats can support healthier aging by helping reduce oxidative stress, a key driver of cellular damage over time. Blueberries are rich in anthocyanins and polyphenols, compounds linked to improved antioxidant status, brain health, and reduced inflammation in both animal and canine studies. In sled dog and feeding trials, blueberry supplementation🫐 has been shown to increase antioxidant capacity, helping protect cells from damage associated with exercise and aging. Emerging research also suggests these compounds may help defend DNA🧬 from oxidative stress, supporting overall cellular resilience. Interestingly, studies comparing fresh and frozen❄️ blueberries have found that freezing preserves these antioxidants and may even increase their measured availability. This happens because ice crystal formation breaks down cell walls, making anthocyanins easier to release when consumed. Combined with the fact that frozen berries are typically harvested at peak ripeness, they can deliver antioxidant levels equal to or even higher than fresh store-bought berries. As I have finished my assessments for Bowen Therapy and waiting until the end of June to be fully qualified🤞
I’m still offering free Bowen therapy sessions to any dog once a week that comes in for daycare and grooming that may benefit from the treatments as part of my continued learning.

These lilies are not only toxic to cats but also some people … like me!!

⚠️ MOTHER’S DAY WARNING FOR CAT OWNERS ⚠️

If you’re giving flowers to a cat mum this Mother’s Day, please read below.

Lilies can KILL cats. Even a tiny amount, a nibble of a flower or leaf, a lick of pollen from their fur or floor, or even drinking the vase water, can cause sudden, fatal kidney failure.

Every year, emergency vets see tragic cases after well-meaning flower deliveries arrive in homes with cats.

Lilies may be beautiful, but for cats they are one of the most dangerous plants there is.

🚫 Why they’re so risky:
• All parts of true lilies (Lilium and Hemerocallis species) are toxic, including the petals, leaves, stems, pollen and vase water.
• Symptoms can begin within hours: vomiting, drooling, lethargy, loss of appetite.
• Without urgent veterinary treatment, many cats do not survive.
• Even brushing past the flowers can be dangerous if pollen sticks to the coat and is licked off later.

If you’re ordering flowers for someone with cats, please ask for NO lilies in the bouquet.

And if you have cats yourself, the safest option is to never L keep lilies in your home or garden.

One small choice could save a cat’s life this Mother’s Day.
