Laminitis or 'founder' is inflammation of the sensitive laminae inside the feet in horses. Damage or inflammation of this area can cause extreme pain and in severe cases, leads to euthanasia.

It's common and can affect all types and ages of horses. Here's a guide to help notice the signs before it causes a horse serious pain.
