DISC DOG FOUNDATION TIP

One of the biggest mistakes new Disc Dog handlers make is focusing on throwing before teaching the retrieve.

Before you throw a disc:

✅ Build value for the disc
✅ Reward interaction with the disc
✅ Teach a reliable return to hand
✅ Develop enthusiasm for the game

A dog that loves bringing the disc back is worth far more than a dog that can catch a long throw but won't return it.

Remember:

The retrieve is the foundation of every Disc Dog game.
