🖤Integrity and finesse in equestrian care🖤

At Kalil Equine, these words are at the heart of everything we do. Integrity means the standard of care never changes. It’s the care behind the photos and updates, the everyday work, the time given and the decisions made with the horse’s best interests at heart.

Finesse is in how we support each horse through their spell or rehab. It’s a calm approach, gentle handling and thoughtful adjustments that help them rest, settle and recover. It’s also guiding owners through that time with clear communication, care and understanding.

As the sole owner and director, I am personally involved in the daily care of every horse here. Knowing your horse, making decisions about their care and keeping you informed are responsibilities I take to heart. We’re proud to have earned the trust of some of the best country trainers, alongside owners from all walks of life and across a wide range of equestrian disciplines.

The horse always comes first. Their comfort, wellbeing and individual needs guide our decisions every day. It’s the personal care we put into every horse, and the relationships we build with the people behind them, that set Kalil Equine apart from other spelling farms.

For the horse, always 🤍

A long road back, taken one step at a time. A tendon injury brought this gelding’s racing to a halt last year, followed by a lengthy spell and carefully managed rehab program here at Kalil.

His care began with box rest and laser treatment, before progressing to a small yard and eventually a larger spelling yard. He considers himself a bit of a lad, so keeping him settled and giving him time to heal has been a big part of his management! 😂 He’s now gradually starting back into work and then will head back to the track.

Injuries are time consuming, expensive and often an emotional journey for everyone involved. This boy has a team of dedicated people behind him, giving him the time, care and support he needs.

💙 A little extra care, at a little less cost 💙

For the rest of 2026, we’re offering horses and ponies with Cushing’s a pamper package for just $100, here at Kalil Equine (this service is usually valued at over $250)!

The package includes:
✂️ Full body clip
🫧 Wash
✨ Hot oil treatment

If your horse or pony is still carrying a heavy winter coat, this is an affordable opportunity to have them tidied up and pampered as we head into the warmer months.

We know the ongoing care of these horses can add up, so this special offer is our way of helping owners give them some extra TLC without a big price tag. 💙

Transport is not included. Owners will need to arrange for their horse or pony to be dropped off and collected from Kalil.

Summer preparations are well underway at Kalil Equine! ☀️🌱

The big paddocks have been sprayed, slashed and readied for mares and foals, along with spellers who enjoy their downtime in the company of a nanny and friends.

This beautiful view across Guntawang takes in the old racetrack and, further afield, our individual speller yards. We’ve been blessed with a mild winter and decent rain, leaving plenty of grass and room to relax, graze and just be horses🐴

Another filly to add to the foals born at Kalil Equine! This lovely girl is by LETHAL KING COLE. He has won the 2026 Australia’s Greatest Horseman with Leah Read, 2025 The Congress Derby Challenge and the 2024 Nutrien Classic Australian Performance Horse Challenge, Nutrien Graduate Challenge and the Nutrien Supreme 5 & Under Challenge, just to name a few.

Congratulations to her owners on the arrival of your beautiful filly! 🐴

One of the best things about breeding season is seeing moments like this. There’s often more than 12 months of planning behind one foal, choosing a stallion, getting the mare in foal, watching every milestone on scans, and putting in the time, money and endless waiting.

Then the foal arrives, and the excitement comes with routine checks and close monitoring over those first few days. From the stable to a small yard, and now out into a bigger paddock, each step is lovely to see.

Watching this beautiful filly explore makes it all worth it. And now her owners are making plans for the mares next breeding season, ready to begin the cycle all over again! 🐴
