Dr Amu checking in on Thomas Brian Arthur post-surgery 🐾💙

And yes… that is his full legal government name 😂

Looking very loved, very important, and hopefully feeling much better after his procedure ✨

Nothing better than a little post-op TLC while recovering in hospital 🥹

This beautiful Blue Tongue Skink came in a little dehydrated with some stuck shed 🦎💙

When reptiles are dehydrated, they can struggle to shed properly, leaving patches of old skin behind.

A gentle warm water soak can help soften the shed and support hydration, making it easier and safer to remove ✨

Good husbandry, proper humidity, and access to fresh water are key to keeping our reptile friends healthy and shedding smoothly.

Evie enjoying some cuddles after her groom 🐾💗

At 17 years young, beautiful Evie has a harder time keeping up with grooming herself these days, so a little extra help goes a long way ✨

Our cat grooming services can help with:
🐾 Matting and knot removal
🐾 Hygiene clips
🐾 Coat tidy-ups
🐾 Comfort grooming for older cats
🐾 Reducing excess fur and helping with coat maintenance

Regular grooming can help keep our older kitties comfortable, clean, and feeling their best — and Evie was very happy to cash in on the post-groom cuddles too 🥹

If your cat is getting a little scruffy, matted, or struggling to keep themselves tidy, give us a call to see how we can help.

Rex after his entropion surgery 🐾💙

This handsome boy is now on the road to a much more comfortable future after having his entropion corrected.

Entropion is a condition where the eyelid rolls inward, causing the lashes and hair to rub painfully against the surface of the eye. Surgery helps correct the eyelid position and protect the eye from ongoing irritation and damage.

Wishing Rex a smooth recovery and plenty of rest while he heals ✨

Happy 1st Birthday to Emmett, only the best are born on the 23rd of May (he and Sam share a birthday!🎁 )🖤

Official clinic mascot, emotional support coworker and unpaid HR representative.

In just 12 months this 56kg giant has managed to:
• supervise consults he wasn’t invited to
• aggressively request pats from staff trying to work
• body slam children out of pure love
• flood the floor every time he drinks water
• steal food with the reach of a forklift
• and leave enough fur around the clinic and house to build a second dog.

Despite contributing absolutely nothing financially, he remains a highly valued member of the team.

At this point he’s less “puppy” and more “small horse,” yet still believes he’s a tiny baby who should be allowed on laps.

Happy Birthday to our oversized emotional support bear and lovable workplace hazard 🐾✨

We’re going to miss you, Teddybear! 🐾💙

Gail is heading off on a new adventure soon, and Teddy popped in for his arthritis check and some bloods before the big move.

Such a special boy — it’s always bittersweet saying goodbye to our long-time patients 🥺

Wishing you both all the best for this next chapter… don’t forget to visit us if you’re ever back! ✨
