🔵Saturday 12th September🔵 We’re opening our water treadmill for a dedicated Saturday session day, giving owners the chance to experience the benefits of treadmill work for rehabilitation, recovery and performance.

Sessions are just $50 per horse.

What’s included

Up to 25 minutes on the water treadmill.

Approximately 35 minutes allocated per booking to allow time to safely load and unload your horse.

Every horse is monitored throughout their session by Sophie and Brianna.

Optional Red Light Therapy

Add red light therapy after your treadmill session:

15 minutes — $15

30 minutes — $25

Before you arrive

Please arrive 5–10 minutes early.

Horses’ legs should be clean before entering the treadmill.

Please pick out your horse’s feet where possible to remove stones, mud and debris.

Important information

We’ll do our best to keep sessions running on time, however times may run a few minutes earlier or later depending on each horse.

Not every horse will complete the full 25-minute session. Some horses may fatigue sooner than others, and Sophie and Brianna will decide if a horse has had enough for the day. Your horse’s safety, comfort and wellbeing always come first.

Understanding Water Heights on the Water Treadmill -
Did you know the height of the water changes the purpose of every treadmill session?
🔵Low water (fetlock/cannon): Great for recovery, improving circulation, and gentle conditioning.
🔵Mid water (below the knee): Encourages horses to lift through their shoulders and hindquarters while building strength and stability.
🔵High water (around the knee/stifle): Increases resistance and core engagement, helping develop topline, balance, and muscle with minimal concussion.
Every horse at HSP Advanced Equine has their water height tailored to their individual fitness, rehabilitation, or spelling program to get the best results safely.

Congratulations to one of our regular treadmill combinations, Jenna Toohey & The Milkybar Kid, on a fantastic result at the Werribee Horse Trials!
The Milkybar Kid is a proud MyRacehorse thoroughbred, and it’s so rewarding to see retired racehorses thriving in successful second careers after racing.
We’ve loved having Milkybar Kid as a regular on our water treadmill and being part of his conditioning and recovery along the way. Seeing horses like him out doing what they love is exactly why we do what we do.

A little time, the right care, and a consistent routine can completely change a horse.
When this gelding arrived at HSP, he was light through his topline, lacking muscle and condition, and looking like he needed a proper reset. After spelling with us, look at him now — a fuller topline, improved hindquarter muscle, better overall condition, and a healthy, shiny coat.
At HSP Advanced Equine, our spelling program is designed to let horses switch off while still supporting their bodies through quality nutrition, individual care, and access to our chilled saltwater treadmill when needed.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for a horse is give them the time and environment to thrive.
