What’s the difference between a walk and a sniffari?

A walk gets you from a to b.

A sniffari let’s your dog make choices, lets them interact with their environment. It’s way more mentally stimulating and really engages their senses.

Ollie loves to check his pee-mail and grabbing anything anything in his mouth that I’ll think is “naughty.”

Ollie loves checking out his peemail and grabbing anything he thinks may be “naughty” in his mouth. It’s mentally way more stimulating for our dogs.

Mum thinks cleaning up is a good idea. I think it’s stupid. I call this activity “Trashing the trash bag.”

Bobbing for apples isn’t just about being a cute activity. Our horses are designed to eat for 18 hours of the day - small graze, walk a metre or two and repeat. Unfortunately most of us feed twice daily and so our horses’ evolutionary needs aren’t being met. It’s one of the reasons why gut ulcers are so common in horses.

So apple bobbing extends the amount of time a horse can spend eating and increase their mental and physical health. They do say an apple a day keeps the doctor (vet) away!
