Some very important information below please read!!!!

Between Tuesday 6th October- Wednesday 5th November Yukari is overseas so Not Too Shaggy Dog Grooming will be CLOSED

I’ve decided to open up bookings until the end on November NOW so people can get organised.

Now that winter is upon us that doesn’t mean that grooming should take a pause because we want our dogs coat longer to keep warm.
Regular grooms are still necessary so that we can keep that beautiful longer coat during the cold months.
It also requires more brushing and combing at home to ensure we can do a longer haircut.

For example this is Bosley 🐶

He came in today for just a bath and tidy, and no length taken off his coat. These grooms are important because Bosleys coat was starting to get a little knotty in places so Yukari was able to brush them out before they got worse.
This means for his next groom and with his fur longer we can do a longer winter cut :)

In saying all that, if you still choose to shave your dog during winter that is so fine, I’m pretty certain none of my clients dogs sleep outside anyway most are on their humans bed 🤣

Update on bookings, we have now opened up July, August and September 2026 so if you wanted to pre book some dates in send us a message.

October November and December are not open for bookings yet as yukari goes away and I’m not sure when I’ll return from maternity leave yet so we are just giving ourselves a few more months to work that all out.

Hi everyone and welcome to anyone who is new! I’ve had a lot of new clients reaching out and booking in which we love 🤗

Just a little bit about me, my names Elyse and I am the owner. I am currently on maternity leave with my second daughter. I have a 3yo and 6 month old at home so busy busy.

I have hired Yukari to groom the dogs while I am on mat leave.
I am currently still doing all the admin for my business which is why I only do text messages and not phone calls sorry.
Your more than welcome to leave me a voice msg but I will reply back by text, I just find it easier between trying to nap/feed my baby and entertaining my toddler I don’t get chances to just take phone calls in peace. Text is always best 😉

I have been a dog groomer now for 16 years and opened up my business around 13-14 years ago with some dogs I’m still grooming since the very beginning 🥰
I was born and raised in Eltham North and still live here so I often bump into my clients out and about.

It has been such a lovely experience meeting and becoming friends with so many of my clients and we are excited to welcome so many new friendly faces to the Not too Shaggy Community.

We are currently taking on new clients big and small 🐶
