Hello everyone

Today, the lovely Rachel, came in with more beautiful gifts.

Last week she brought in many treats and toys for the dogs and also some lovely teatowels for Dee which featured roosters that looked quite a lot like our perfect Russel.

She also provided the meat for Sunday Sangas with also extra frankfurts for later.

Well today she came in with more gifts, but one particular one for our big boy Bruce and we couldn't wait to test run it.

To say he was a fan is an understatement, unlike the little short one he played with with Don, this rope he didn't want to give up.

Happy Monday everyone!

Over the weekend we took our gorgeous, chunky boy Bruce up to the yard for some fun.

It turns out Bruce can fly! 😂 (..he's also very good at tug of war)

Brucey Boy still needs to have his behavior assessment completed, so he will be officially be listed for adoption once this is done, however if you are interested in meeting him before this happens, please contact CCACF on 0499 900272 or email [email protected]

Introducing Patches!

Patches is a Staffy x born approx 12th January 2026.

Patches came to us as an unmicrochipped stray and unfortunately no one came looking for him.

Since being at the facility Patches has been the sweetest pup! He's incredibly friendly & playful.. as well as showing his cheeky Staffy puppy side in the most adorable of ways! Once his initial excitement bounces settle he turns into a very snuggle boy who just adores human love & attention.. actually.. there hasn't been anything at the facility that he HASN'T loved. He's eager to please his humans and he would make an amazing companion for most families.

Patches tested quite well with others dogs at the facility, however he was definitely more focused on his human companions. When he did interact with the other pups he was very excited & was bouncing around like your typical happy Staffy pup. We believe Patches could be suitable to live with another dog, or to be the spoint only "child" at home. If you have a friendly dog we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.

Patches is untested with cats & pocket pets at this time.

Patches has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.

He still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Patches will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to another installment of Sunday Sangas!

This week we've gone simple with chicken loaf and cheese (with a sq**rt of whipped cream for dessert). I'm happy to say it was a big hit.

Apologies for the noise this week, we've got some screamers in.. but we hope you enjoy seeing our little surprise.. or should I say overdue surprises!

We hope you enjoy watching Mia, Roman, Bubba, Diesel, Patches, Suzie, Diesel, Thelma, Louise, Hank, Ghost and Atlas enjoy their Sunday treats!

Introducing Thelma!

Thelma is a small Bull Arab x born approx 11th December 2025. While Thelma shows many beautiful traits of the Bull Arab breed, we don't believe she will be as large as they usually grow.

Thelma & her sister Louise were brought into the facility as unmicrochipped strays & sadly no-one came looking for them. When they first arrived they were incredibly scared of everyone & everything. Even though they were so scared, neither have shown any signs of aggression towards staff, volunteers or each other.

Since being at the facility both girls have been a delight to care for. They're quiet, sweet, adorable when they snooze together and are getting more confident with every day that passes. Both girls are very gentle when taking treats and are just all-round beauties. Thelma has always been more timid than her sister, but with Louise's help she's learning that she loves having a gentle scratch & cuddle (as long as you don't rush towards her). Given that she can still be timid with fast movements, we feel Thelma would be best suited to a home with children over 12 years, as younger ones might be too overwhelming for her.

Thelma tested quite well with others dogs at the facility, however she did get defensive when they were boisterous & jumping on her. We believe Thelma could be suitable to live with another calm & gentle dog, or to be the spoint only "child" at home. If you have a friendly, gentle dog we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home. Alternatively, both Thelma & Louise do have a beautiful relationship with each other and would be more than happy to stay together.

Thelma is untested with cats & pocket pets at this time.

Thelma has shown no signs of separation anxiety since being at the facility, however please keep in mind that Thelma & Louise have been housed together at all times, so this result may vary if she's by herself in a home environment.

🐾Adoption Update🐾

A couple weeks ago Rachel sent through a beautiful update on her gorgeous girl;

"It's been 2 weeks since we brought Roxy home and I just wanted to give you an update.

She is settling in super well! She is the perfect fit for our home and we could not be happier to have her. Her and her new big brother Jonson are enjoying getting the zoomies together, walking together and keeping an eye on the street from the front window together.

Roxy has been doing some training with us, and I just can't get over how smart she is and how quickly she is picking up on everything. She has even taught Jonson how to dance on his black legs like her.

I am also pleased to report that she has not beaten our fences and that she has not been digging in the yard at all either. She loves her backyard time, but also enjoys playing inside with her basket of toys. She has also made herself very at home sleeping in bed at night under the covers with just her snoot peaking out!

Roxy is an absolute joy to have in the house and I can not thank you enough for taking care of her until we could come get her. She makes us smile every single hour of every single day.
