We received the great news that Teddy's UTI had been resolved. We could finally administer his 2nd puppy vaccination.

Its been an absolute pleasure to work with mum and dad to resolve this babies UTI and see him get his second puppy vaccination.

One more vaccination left of his puppy regime and he's off into the big wide world.

❗️🚨TICK ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨❗️

With the arrival of spring in Australia, especially here on the Central Coast, it is essential to ensure your cats and dogs are current with their tick prevention.

Paralysis ticks are extremely perilous parasites whose toxin can cause paralysis and death.

Local emergency hospitals have reported multiple cases, with over 6 at SASH and 2-3 daily cases at ARH.

❓️DID YOU KNOW❓️

🔴 Although ticks are present year-round, recent rainfall and sunshine have created optimal conditions for fleas and ticks, potentially leading to an increase in numbers.

🔴 Fleas and ticks can infiltrate homes through human contact, plants, and other means, posing a risk to even indoor-only pets.

Symptoms of Paralysis Ticks include:
👉 Coughing,
👉 Gagging,
👉 Vomiting,
👉 Changes in vocalization,
👉 Difficulty breathing,
👉 Unsteady gait,
👉 Paralysis,
👉 Weakness,
👉 Collapse, and
👉 Choking (in cats).

If your pet is experiencing any of these symptoms please call straight away.

If you find a tick on your pet or suspect one, please schedule an appointment or consult our nurses for assistance. Caution is always the best approach.

It was such a pleasure having Tiki Animal Rescue yesterday at PetO Erina Fair and Our Vet Erina. The dogs were so beautiful in nature and looks. If you were unable to make it yesterday but would like the opportunity to meet and greet any of the dogs in care, please reach out to Tiki

Pups Moki (left), Bree and Mac (right) were so well behaved at yesterday's adoption day at OurVet Erina.
Mac in particular is such a shy boy, but came out of his shell as the day went on.
Host dogs Tully and Harold came along for added confidence, and for pats.
