SOS - We need the community's help because the owners are not coming forward to help their animals. Please if you know these dogs we need info and urgently as the facility just hit critical with 22 dogs out of 25 capacity.
Stray 1 - Maitland Area - Male Kelpie Pup approx 10 weeks old not chipped. Found on Cnr Bruce & Quarry Street, East Maitland near the skate park - Found 28.3.25 in the late afternoon. This dog has a 7 day impound period.
Stray 2 - Maitland Area - Male Staffy x Lab? approx 12-15 Months old not chipped. Been roaming in O'Hearn Street, Tenambit - Been going to house between 1-10 for approx 2 weeks. Finder caught 28.3.25. This dog has a 7 day impound period
Stray 3 - Maitland Area - Lilac Tibetan Spaniel (Chipped as Chihuahua x Pug), chipped to breeder. Found on Oakhampton Road, Oakhampton. Dog was rehomed as a pup to one family who then rehomed to another in Logan Road, Rutherford. Dogs name is believed to be Otis - Been seen in area for over 10 days. Finder finally caught dog 29.3.25 7am. This dog has a 14 day impound
Stray 4 - Maitland Area - Male Brown Dachshund. Not Chipped . Found at Swallow Avenue Park on Sunday 30.3.25. Approx 9 Months Old. This dog has a 7 day impound period
GONE HOME
Stray 5 - Maitland Area - Female Brown, Tan & White Kelpie found near Christian School Metford. The dog is microchipped however her chip is not on any database. - Found 31.3.25 approx 3pm. This dog has a 7 day impound period as owner unknown.
Stray 6 - Cessnock Area - Tan & White Male Corgi. Not chipped but we estimate to be around 6-7 years old. Found in Melbourne Street, Aberdare around the 30-40's series houses. - Found 30.3.25 at 12.15pm. This dog has a 7 day impound period
Stray 7 - Cessnock Area - Black & White Female Kelpie x. Not chipped but estimated to be around 11 Months old. Found on Mount View Road, Cessnock near the roundabout - Found 30.3.25 at approx 1pm. This dog has a 7 day impound period
