WOW, how fantastic is this.

We picked up a load of dog and cat food from the LOVELY ladies at ARC Narree Warren on Saturday and were able to share the haul with other carers through the suburbs of Melbourne.
We also received dental treats and pouches for wildlife.

THANK YOU to ARC and -

😺 We've just launched our very first Cat Food Range! 😺 To celebrate we're sharing $20,000 with 20 cat rescue groups!

You can help us decide who needs an extra helping hand! 🥳

A lot of love has gone into creating our cat food, using high‑quality Australian and New Zealand ingredients and absolutely no artificial nasties. Those lucky enough to get their hands on it first have been telling us how much their fussy cats are loving it, which makes us confident your cat will love it too!

We’ve got a great mix of premium wet and dry recipes designed to support cats at every life stage. Made with high-quality meat, essential nutrients and functional ingredients like omega fatty acids, prebiotics and natural fibre, the range promotes healthy digestion, lean muscle, skin and coat health, and overall wellbeing.

You can find out more here: https://www.savour-life.com.au/our-range/cat-food-range/

We’re so excited to finally be able to extend our support to our new cat rescue partners, as well as some of our long-term rescue friends who care for cats as well as dogs.

😻 Here's how you can help your favourite rescue! 😻

We’ve got $20,000 to split between some deserving rescue groups who have cats or kittens on our SavourLife Pet Adoptions platform, and we’d like your help with nominations!

So here’s what to do:

1. Click on the link to see all the rescue groups on SavourLife Pet Adoptions - https://www.savour-life.com.au/savourlife-pet-adoptions/rescue-groups/ - those that have a number against the cat icon have cats or kittens listed for adoption

2. Then come back here and write in the comments which group you think should be in our donation project. (Can't find your favourite rescue on SavourLife Pet Adoptions?

Let us know who they are in the comments below – we’d love to connect with them!)

3. Then we’ll narrow it down to 20 groups for the project voting next week where you can help us decide who gets what!

One of our possums, Max, who has been under our care since being discovered in his mother's pouch following her loss, has now advanced to the larger aviary enclosure, where he will reside for approximately 3 months until he reaches sufficient maturity to commence his gradual release back into the wild.

In 2011, we rescued Molly. She was purchased as a miniature pig, and when the owners realized she was definitely not what they expected and was destroying their suburban backyard, they needed to rehome her. Now, 15 years later, we have to make the heartbreaking decision to have her put to sleep 😢. She has very bad arthritis and is struggling to get up. This week, we are spending time with her, and she is getting visitors who have known her for this time with us. We love you, Molly, even when you were grumpy, but you loved your back scratches and definitely had a massive love for anything sweet (donuts being your favorite) ❤️

Yesterday, we received a call from The Lost Dogs Home in Cranbourne that this duck had been found unable to walk. Their vet checked him over and could not find any injuries apart from his inability to put weight on his leg. This morning, after some good rest, food, and a water dish to get into, he is up and about. Given today’s weather, we have decided to keep him in care for another night to ensure he is completely healed.
