Green Meadows Pet Resort is currently seeking animal attendants to join our team. We are happy to discuss the potential for part time, full time or even casual work.
If you have experience caring for animals and a genuine affection for dogs, we would love for you to join our team. Hygiene is one of the most important aspects of pet care, so you must be prepared to complete non-glamorous tasks including cleaning kennels and pooper scooping.
Applicants with working experience in kennels/catteries or those who have completed certificates in animal studies and/or companion animal services are preferred.
Various shifts are required between 7:45 am and 6:00 pm, seven days a week. You must be available for weekend shifts.
Animal Attendants are responsible for the quality of pet welfare and care and will undertake the following tasks:
• cleaning kennels,
• feeding dogs,
• medicating dogs,
• bathing and brushing of dogs, and
• exercising of dogs.
You must be:
• Available during peak periods i.e. (Christmas / school holidays / Easter / weekends)
• Available for rotating shifts and at short notice to cover shifts
• Highly motivated and reliable
• Prepared to jump at the chance to help others in your team
• Work at a brisk pace and be good at carrying out tasks to time frames
• Able to work independently yet under guidance as needed
• Strongly passionate about companion animals
• A good communicator and team member
• A positive person
