We here at TriColby Cobs would like offer a huge thank you to Wehalla Park. We were given the opportunity to have a wee visitor for the season, and I do mean wee 😁 Belda Park Braveheart aka, Wally, is here to visit our girls. Measuring a tiny 10.3hh at 4 years old we cannot wait to see what arrives next year. I’ve washed many cobs over the years, but Wally’s feather and hair is the softest, silkiest feather I’ve ever touched. And that’s before I even washed it! He is having a bit of spring growth at the moment so watch this space as he matures over the coming season width and body wise, he won’t get any more height though according to his knee measurements. Thank you Crystal 🥰

Haha, I called him DJ cause I always wanted a JJ and DJ and what happens, I’ve started calling him Little D instead lol. So, Little D is super into scratches already and giving poor mum a hard time. He loves to run (away from mum) and jump (on her mostly) 😂😂😂

Do you ever, as a breeder, look at these gorgeous little souls and think that it is purely because of our decisions that they have joined us in life? This special little man is the product of a couple of decisions that have taken years to come to fruition, specific bloodlines I wished to put together. He is a combination of my lovely Penny (Gwyn Du Valley Mariah) & The Galway Boy through his sire TriColby Harlequin of Galway and my sweetest and first ever purebred mare, JJ (GCDU Julie Joe Rosebud).

I’m super pleased to introduce TriColby DJ Bayboy 😊 His funky markings kind of inspired his name which is also a play on the bloodlines of Billy Boy/Toyboy and of course my dear JJ. And may I say, I love daytime foaling! I can get some sleep tonight, yahoo!!!

TriColby Hodgepodge (Pod) has learnt all his lessons well and today showed what a wonderful little man he is by tackling some of the obstacles for the first time and all handled by someone other than me for the first time. Measured his knee and he should mature just over 13hh.

Pod is a lovely young man, hairy and heavy, he’ll be a great ridden show prospect and all-rounder with clean joints and lovely movement. Pod will be situated in Victoria mid-November. He’s been taught the basics, lead, tie, farrier and float.

The boys, Pod and Finn, had their first drive in the float today. Excuse my stupid voice, in fact just mute it lol. I talk to them constantly the first drive and just walk along behind.

I’m always happy when the first drive goes smoothly ❤️
