🎃👻 HAPPY HOWL-O-WEEN FROM HAMMETT STREET VETS! 👻🎃

Wishing all our wonderful clients and their furry family members a spook-tacular Halloween! 🐾🧡

We hope your day is filled with more treats than tricks & more cuddles than cobwebs! 👻😂

A little Halloween reminder from our team: 🐶🐱

🎃 Keep the chocolate away from curious paws — it's toxic to dogs and cats!

🍬 Stash the lollies somewhere safe (because apparently, the word "leave it" doesn't apply when there's a lolly wrapper involved! ).

🦇 And if your pet decides their Halloween costume is actually a personal attack on their dignity… we recommend plenty of treats AND we want to see their pictures in the comments!😂 🐾

From all of us at Hammett Street Vets, have a fang-tastic Halloween and stay safe, you little monsters! 🧛‍♂️🐈‍⬛

🦅💚 A LITTLE PATIENT, WITH A BIG JOURNEY! 💚🦅

We had a very special little visitor come through the doors at Hammett Street Vets, a baby kestrel in need of some care! 🥹

After being handed in to our clinic, this adorable little one was assessed, received a full veterinary health check, and was cared for by Dr Ingrid while waiting for the next step of the adventure. 🩺🪶

When ready, Dr Max took on chauffeur duties and transported the juvie kestrel to the wonderful team at Wildlife & Raptor Care Queensland (WARCQ), where it will receive ongoing specialist care needed. 🦅💚

From a vet check, to a road trip with Dr Max, they've certainly have had a big adventure for such a tiny bird! 🚗😂

A huge thank you to everyone involved in giving this little kestrel the best chance possible. It takes a team to care for our wildlife, and we're so proud to play a part in helping our native animals. 🌿💚

Fingers crossed for this little one's recovery and future! 🪶✨

🌊💙 PET OF THE WEEK: KOA! 💙🌊

Meet Koa, the newest and tiniest addition to the Hammett Street Vets family! 💕

Koa is already getting the full Hammett Street experience & making himself at home!🩺

This little cutie is the gorgeous baby boy of our Head Vet Nurse, Rhiannan, and it looks like he’s already settling into clinic life! 🐾

We’re expecting big things from this little guy… eventually. For now, his main duties include sleeping on the job and looking adorable while doing absolutely nothing.😍

Welcome to the team, Koa! Your first performance review is in 18 years. 🤣

🐾🌟 PET OF THE WEEK: BOWSER! 🌟🐾

Meet the nervous BEAUTIFUL Bowser boy who belongs to nurse Peta 🐈

Bowser recently came in for an FNA (Fine Needle Aspirate), a simple procedure where we collect a small sample of cells from a lump and examine them under the microscope to help determine what it might be.

Thankfully, we had some GOOD NEWS! 🎉 The lump turned out to be nothing nasty, and Bowser is happy, healthy and doing well! 🥰🐾

We couldn’t resist making Bowser our Pet of the Week! ❤️

🎂✨ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR BEK & DR PARIS! ✨🎂

Although neither of you is at work today, we couldn’t let this special occasion pass without celebrating you both! 🥳

You are both truly appreciated for your kind, caring, and compassionate manner, and for the warmth and positivity you bring to those around you. Your dedication and the genuine care you show others do not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful to have you both as part of our team. 💙

Wishing you both a wonderful birthday filled with love, laughter and happiness. 🥂

🦔💚 A little echidna adventure at Hammett Street Vets! 💚🦔

Our lovely receptionist Bev had a special visitor in her backyard recently! 🌳

This little juvenile female echidna was spotted in Bev’s backyard, where the dogs’ barking alerted her to something unusual. Knowing this little spiky visitor might need some help, Bev brought her into the clinic for a wellness check. 🩺

After a gentle once over from Dr Ingrid, a little TLC, and a clean bill of health, this little lady was ready to head back out into the big wide world! 💚

She was safely released back into the wild, where we hope she finds herself a handsome echidna boyfriend and, one day, has some adorable little puggle babies! 💕
-Yes, baby echidnas are called puggles, how cute is that?! 🥹

A big shout out to Bevy for keeping an eye out for our local wildlife! 🥰

Found injured or unwell wildlife? 🦜

If you come across an injured wild animal, please phone Hammett Street Vets for advice on what to do next. We're always happy to help guide you on the best way to keep both you and our native wildlife safe. 🌿
