Please note that the clinic will be closing early today at 5pm, Wednesday 26 November 2025 to allow staff members to attend a training session. We will be open as usual tomorrow from 8am.

As the storm season ramps up, we are seeing more lost dogs on the streets. Our primary aim is to get them home to their families as soon as possible.
Even if your pet isn't one to run in fear at the first rumble of thunder, we strongly recommend having your pet microchipped - but most importantly, ensuring that the contact details are up to date.
If you have moved house since obtaining your pet, or can't remember filling out a microchip change of ownership form when you first purchased them, please call us to get those details checked. If they are not up to date, we can advise you as to how to get it sorted (before it's needed !)

Our pets have much more sensitive ears than we do, so the noise related to storms or fireworks can have a real impact on them !

While we have some fireworks happening tonight, it is also a good time to start thinking about the upcoming storm season and get in contact if you need a little help in managing your pet's reactions.

It's the Heartworm Amnesty again! And what does that mean... 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐌 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐒

During this Amnesty period (September and October 2025), heartworm tests will be free for any dog (older than 6 months) that is currently on irregular monthly treatments, lapsed yearly treatments by longer than 3 months or no treatment at all. To qualify for the free test a dog must receive a yearly heartworm injection during the same consult. This will protect your dog for the next year and will kill any larvae that have been recently acquired in the previous 3 months. This is also the first step in treatment of a heartworm infected dog in the unfortunate event that a test returns positive.
If you have any doubts as to whether your dog is heartworm free, now is the time to contact us and protect your dog from the terrible effects of heartworm!

Some delightful delinquents had decided to deface the artwork on our fence - but Kennie came to the rescue and before we knew it, it was as good as new !
