programs, breeding dogs for over 5 years, travelled internationally to the Crufts Dog Show in the UK to connect with other doggie experts and enthusiasts. I have co-authored a Best Selling Book on Amazon titled “Fast Forward to Success” with nine other authors and I was invited to contribute my chapter titled “Paws Are Yours for Life”. New puppy + kids? Make training a family affair.

Bringing home a puppy is exciting—but it’s also the perfect opportunity to teach children responsibility, patience, kindness, and compassion.

The key? Keep training age-appropriate and supervised.

And remember: young children shouldn’t walk a puppy alone. Puppies can pull, become distracted, or react unexpectedly. An adult should supervise, especially until a child is old enough to safely handle the leash.

Keep puppy training sessions short—around 5 minutes, 2–3 times a day. Most importantly, teach children to be calm, gentle, and patient. ❤️

When everyone in the family uses the same training methods and boundaries, your puppy learns faster and feels more secure.

Training a puppy isn’t just about teaching good behaviour—it’s about building a beautiful bond between your children and their new best friend.
