Seized tailgate hinges are another common repair on older floats. Sometimes we can replace just the seized one if the other two are in good condition but in this case the centre had torn the tailgate frame out and the other two hinges were very worn. Now all replaced with new greaseable hinges and an upgrade from the old spring to gas struts for that smooth lift. 👌

Cracks in the rear chassis rail are not totally uncommon in Horse floats. Even in quality builds like this older Rowville. The earlier you can identify and repair them the better.
We repaired these ones and fully reinforced the rear rail with new steel and additional bracing.

What an opportunity to give this old girl the love it deserves. Complete new floor, new tailgate, wheels, full mechanicals, roof restoration, clean and detail, rust repairs you name it. Pegasus have always been one of the best built floats you can buy and this girl is ready for the next 30 years!

After throwing a wheel & years of hard work it was time to give this big plant trailer some love with new running gear. 12” brakes, hubs and wheels all round and she’s ready to load up and get back to work. The bigger 2T bearings in the 12” hubs really do last well and even longer with regular maintenance and adjustment. When was the last time your trailer was serviced?

How good is this! Pro Pulse Therapies doing amazing work. ☺️

Here's an exciting behind the scenes look into the incredible work being done at our Peninsula shelter to support the rehabilitation of horses in our care.

The team recently welcomed Kim from Pro Pulse Therapies to perform a session of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy for three horses, Persian Salute, Ledger and Happiest.

PEMF therapy is a non-invasive treatment that works by applying electromagnetic pulses to the body, stimulating and enhancing the body's natural healing processes. For horses, it can be particularly beneficial for injuries, muscle soreness, arthritis, or inflammation.

All three horses had different issues being addressed; Happiest had trauma to her body from when she was raced as a young horse, Ledger was adjusting to walking normally after living with extremely long hooves after being abandoned, and Persian Salute was sore all over after recovering from being underweight.

This is just one example of the lengths our dedicated team goes to at both our Burwood and Peninsula locations to support the rehabilitation of animals in our care 💖
