Client success story: Meet Pepper!

Pepper came to me last June after her parents reached out to Free Pet Behaviour Line after adopting her and noticing some aggressive behaviours toward people and dogs. Scary for everyone!

We slowed things down for this new rescue, built safety and trust, and her parents went above and beyond to learn all about Pepper and what she needs and wants.

After building skills with savvy helper dogs like Obi, advocating for her space, and joining Growly Dog Club to practice putting it all together, Pepper is now an off-lead legend with human and dog friends, living her best life romping the beaches of Adelaide when visiting the grandparents. I am so proud of this family for learning to help Pepper be her best self, putting in the work and making me redundant. Pepper updates make my week.

Jazz and Westside Paws have always helped me grow and learn more. Miss these good good dogs.

How good is this photo of Patrick and me doing zoomies that Graham got the other day? This boy truly loves a zoooom and play. He made me really dizzy; I am pretty impressed how composed I look in the chaos.

I don’t feel great today and Patrick will bark when he sees or hears something he’s unsure about, so we focused on watching the world go by together, and validating his feelings. Today we said goodbye to Slasher. I can't tell you how much this dog changed my life. I really had no idea how much she would. A scared little puppy, I can't believe how kind and trusting she became. By learning how to help her, she really made me a better person. I get to help others. This Monday a client took some photos of us, and I am so grateful. I hope she's digging the best hole wherever she is, hunting rabbits, resting in the sun, with an endless supply of wine corks. 💔

Hey everyone, a different post for my page that is very sad.
Unfortunately one of my lovely long time customers is in palliative care.
Her gorgeous dogs
Jack/ Maltese shihtzu 10 years
Bell/ foxy x Jack Russell 8 years

Are in search of a forever home together. This is very sudden and their mums wish is to get them organised and cared for together quickly.
I am just the middle man here trying to help a customer in need and will be contacting MAAW shelter when they open Monday for advice.
Their mum is worried of them going to a shelter while waiting for adoption, that they’ll be scared and missing her.
They’ve always been inside dogs, by her side loved and cared for and are toilet trained.
If anyone has a home to offer please message me and we can sort out a meet and greet where I’m happy to attend and help in any ways possible.

What did we notice? Why did we film it?

Sako started barking way more than usual and this twitch may give us a sign to why. After spotting this twitch at Growly Dog Club, we’re gonna chat with our vet team to check if she accidentally hurt herself while being silly with her siblings. Being sore can make her way more sensitive to the environment, which for Sako, means yelling about it. Record video for your vets, it helps!
