Under judge Mrs J Armatys (QLD), my show team had a lovely day in the ring.

🏆 Mila was awarded Best of Breed
🏆 Winston was awarded Runner Up Best of Breed & Best Junior in Group

I’m incredibly proud of both my iggies and grateful for the judge’s consideration 🫶

Congratulations to all exhibitors on their results, and thank you to the volunteers and organisers who make these events possible.

What a day at the Gympie & District Kennel Club Show today!

I loaded up Mila and Winston, packed the human children into the car, and headed off for my very first dog show flying solo with children in tow… and I nearly didn’t make it there at all 😅

As anyone with young kids and dogs can probably imagine, simply getting out the door was an achievement in itself. Then poor Charlie ended up with a blood nose on the drive there, and I genuinely considered turning around and heading home. The thought of managing energetic little boys ringside all day was very terrifying for me.

But I’m so glad we stuck it out, because today absolutely belonged to Mila ✨

Mila was awarded:
🏆 Best of Breed
🏆 Runner-Up in Group under Mrs D Clark (NZ)
🏆 Australian Bred in Show under Mr J Clark (NZ)

Adding a lovely 15 points towards her Australian Championship title!

Winston may not have had his moment today, but Mila certainly made the long day, wrangling dogs and children and the late drive home worth every second. I’m incredibly proud of my first home bred girl ❤️
