Remember Dolly💕

May is Do It For Dolly month, held in honour of Dolly Everett and every young person quietly carrying more than the world realises.

At the Horse Whispering Youth Program, we are constantly reminded that when we first meet someone, that we never truly know what sits beneath the surface. Sometimes the brightest smiles, the loudest laughter, or the strongest fronts can be protecting the deepest struggles.

That is perhaps why horses matter so much.

Horses do not respond to the mask or the facade. They respond to the nervous system underneath it all — the feelings young people may not yet have words for, or may have hidden for a very long time. They sense what is real, gently and without judgement.

We honour that truth in every young person who walks through our gates.

And today - every day, we honour, Dolly, her love for horses, and every child silently hoping to feel seen, safe, understood and connected.
