Dr Allen had no idea his morning would involve rescuing a fabulous feather duster with legs… but here we are 🐓✨

On his way to work, he spotted this Silkie rooster just standing next to a bin in the middle of a park. He looked a bit lost, a bit sad, and very much like he didn’t belong there. Being the top tier human that he is, Dr Allen pulled over, scooped him up (no arguments from the rooster, who was clearly ready to be rescued), and brought him to safety. We suspect he’s been dumped, unfortunately, it happens all too often to roosters. However just imagine: he could’ve been hit by a car, chased by a dog, or ended up as a midnight snack for a fox. Instead, he ended up in the arms of a vet who wasn’t going to let him down.

We’ve lovingly named him “Binny”. Now “Binny’s” safe, warm, and possibly already demanding snacks and a throne. Thank you Dr Allen, you’re a good egg ❤️

Meet “Tater” & “Tot”! 🩵🐾🩵

These two fluffy tabby and white brothers recently arrived into our care after we helped bust them out of the pound, and we’re so glad we did! Just look at those faces! “Tater” & “Tot” are absolutely gorgeous boys with sweet, playful personalities to match. They’re curious, cuddly, and always up for an adventure (or a nap in a sunny spot). Whether they’re tumbling around together or purring in your lap, these little guys are guaranteed to fill your home with love and laughter. We’re happy for them to be adopted separately, but just imagine how fun it would be to have two adorable kittens growing up together! Please call us on 3264 7700 to make an appointment to meet them, they can’t wait to charm you in person!

💖 SHE’S HERE… MEET “DELILAH”! 💖

We are beyond thrilled to let everyone know that our very special girl has officially arrived into care! After making the long journey from Rockhampton to Brisbane late last night, she is now safe, sound, and settling in beautifully. Now that she’s here, we’re so excited to introduce her properly, we’ve decided to name her “Delilah” 🥹💕

We also have some wonderful news to share… “Delilah” has vision! While she is 100% deaf, she can see and follows people around with no trouble. This was something we weren’t certain of until meeting her in person, as the information provided by the pound was limited. “Delilah” is a double Merle, which unfortunately explains the reason behind her deafness and limited vision. Double Merle is a genetic outcome caused by the mating of two Merle patterned dogs, often done without understanding the serious health risks involved. Pups like “Delilah” are at high risk of being born deaf, blind, or both, through no fault of their own.

Despite her rough start, “Delilah” is already proving just how smart she is! She’s currently learning to sit and is picking it up so quickly, a testament to her bright little mind and beautiful spirit 🧠💗 She’s spending time at Shannon’s home to decompress, and is already showing her cheeky, playful side. She loves her toys, has an obsession with Croc shoes 🤣, and to top it all off, she’s teething, which adds a whole new layer of excitement (and chewing) to the mix! 🦷🧸

We just know that this brave, sweet girl is going to make an incredible companion for someone special. Stay tuned for more updates and adorable photos soon! 📸✨

UPDATE: A huge shoutout to the amazing team at Pawprint Foundation Ltd for stepping up and offering to take in the kittens! They specialise in orphaned neonates and kittens, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their help in giving these little ones the best chance possible. Thank you so much to everyone who reached out to offer support, share the post, or help in any way, your kindness and compassion means the world to us 🫶🏻🐾

🚨 URGENT! Neonate Carer Needed! 🚨

We’ve just had a mother cat surrendered to us within the last hour. She gave birth to seven kittens on Monday, but heartbreakingly, five have since passed away. The two surviving kittens are not feeding well from mum, and we are urgently seeking someone with neonate experience who can step in and give them the best possible chance.

We are happy to keep mum and care for her here, but her babies need someone special who can provide the intensive support they require.

Sadly, due to the number of animals currently in our care, we’re unable to bottle feed them ourselves.

📞 If you can assist, please call us on 3264 7700
⏰ We need to find placement for them by 6:30pm tonight
🙏 Please share with any rescue groups or carers who might be able to help

Every minute counts, let’s give these little ones a fighting chance ❤️

Meet “Bacon”, a sweet senior lady who is looking for love! 12 year old “Bacon” has found herself in need of a new beginning, through no fault of her own. Her loving family made the incredibly hard decision to surrender her after changes to their living situation and ongoing allergy challenges meant they could no longer provide the environment she needed. She was deeply loved, and now, it’s our turn to help her find a soft place to land.

This beautiful girl is the definition of a gentle soul. She is loving, affectionate, and happiest when she’s near her people, soaking up cuddles, lounging in a sunny spot, or simply being by your side. She would make a wonderful companion for an older person or anyone looking for a calm, low maintenance pet who just wants to love and be loved. “Bacon” doesn’t ask for much, just a quiet home, a comfy bed, and someone to smooch her every day. She is a little on the rounder side right now (we think it just adds to her charm), so her new family will need to help her manage her weight to keep her happy and healthy. “Bacon” has always been an only cat, and at her age, she deserves to enjoy her retirement in peace, so we’re looking for a home where she can be the centre of attention, just like she’s used to.

If you can offer this sweet senior girl a loving home where she can live out her golden years feeling safe, cherished, and adored, please call us on 3264 7700 to arrange a meet and greet! 🖤🥓🐾

Adoption Cost:
“Bacon’s” adoption fee is $160. She is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.

UPDATE: "Sasha" has been adopted!

“Sasha” is a beautiful 6 year old ex-racing Greyhound who was recently surrendered into our care by her previous owner, through no fault of her own. She’s now searching for a loving forever home where she can enjoy the peaceful, pampered life she truly deserves 🐶🩷🏡

Described as having a wonderful personality, “Sasha” is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves being around people. She’s lived harmoniously with another Greyhound and a Jack Russell X Cattle Dog, and would likely thrive in a home where she’s not the only dog, though she’d be just as happy soaking up all the love herself! “Sasha” is not cat friendly, so a feline-free home is a must. “Sasha” enjoys her walks (she’s lovely on lead), has a healthy appetite (not fussy in the slightest), and loves to play, especially with toys or balls. One of her most endearing quirks is her love of collecting shoes, socks, toys, anything soft or interesting, and making herself a little nest of treasures. She isn’t destructive at all; she simply enjoys gathering her goodies and settling in with them. She may be a little timid when first settling in, but she warms up quickly and will soon be following you around with tail wags and soulful eyes. “Sasha” is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and vet checked.

To help her settle in, “Sasha’s” previous family have generously donated some of her belongings, including her kennel, muzzle, coat, collar, lead, and slow-feed bowl, everything she needs to feel right at home.

Her adoption fee is $300. If you can offer “Sasha” the forever home she deserves, please get in touch, this sweet girl is ready to begin her next chapter. Please call us on 3264 7700 if you would like to discuss her further!

A heartfelt thank you to the two lovely ladies who dropped off these beautiful donations for our very special arrival. Our deaf and mostly blind puppy is making the big 7+ hour journey from Rockhampton into care tonight. We think she’s a Dane X, so while she’s little now, she’s not going to stay that way for long! 😅💕

Thanks to your kindness, she’ll be greeted with enrichment toys, treats, and everything she needs to help her feel safe and settled in her new environment. We are sooo grateful for your support! 🥰🙏

UPDATE: “Henry” has been adopted!

“Henry” is a 14 week old black rescue kitten with a gentle soul and a heart full of love, just waiting for the right family to come along. He was rescued by our amazing Nurse Jess and her mum, Tina, who helped save four kittens from a very sad situation. Tina has been caring for “Henry” in her home ever since, and now this sweet boy is the last of the litter still looking for his forever home. While he might be a little timid when you first meet him, with some gentle reassurance and a few loving pats, it doesn’t take long for his affectionate nature to shine through. “Henry” isn’t at the surgery for meet and greets, as he’s currently being fostered by Tina in Warner. All of his vet work has been completed, he’s desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and wormed, so he’s ready to head off to his forever family.

His adoption fee is $280 to help cover the costs of his care. If you’d like to meet little “Henry” and see if he’s the right fit for your home, please contact Tina directly on 0414 751 592 🖤🏡🐾

UPDATE: "Tigger" & "Maggie" have been adopted!

Meet “Tigger” & “Maggie” a pair of sweethearts looking for a second chance 🩵🐾🩷

“Tigger” & “Maggie” are two beautiful 6 month old kittens who were originally adopted from us back in February, after being rescued from Warwick Pound. Sadly, they’ve found themselves back in our care this week, through absolutely no fault of their own. Their loving owner has recently been diagnosed with complex health issues and is no longer in a position to provide them with the care and attention they deserve. It was a heartbreaking decision made purely out of love for these two.

“Tigger” & “Maggie” are everything you could hope for in a pair of young cats, affectionate, curious, playful, and full of love. They’ve been raised in a home with children (aged 11 and 13), and were wonderful with them. They’ve always been indoor only cats and are very closely bonded, so we are looking for a home where they can stay together. “Tigger” has adapted well to being back with us and has settled into the environment with calm confidence. He's a gentle soul with a quiet charm and will happily accept affection once he knows you're a friend. “Maggie”, on the other hand, is feeling much more out of sorts right now. She's understandably timid and unsettled after such a big change and needs time and patience to rebuild her trust and confidence. We're giving her the space and reassurance she needs and believe that, in a loving and stable home, she will come out of her shell again.

“Tigger” & “Maggie” are ready to bring joy, entertainment, and endless affection to their next forever home, could that be yours? Please call us today on 3264 7700 if you’re interested in a meet and greet! 🏡🐾

Adoption Cost:
“Tigger” & “Maggie’s” combined adoption fee is $520. They are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.
