Meet “Chess” & “Checkers”! 🖤🐾🤍

These adorable 8 week old black and white brothers are looking for a very special forever home… together.

“Chess” & “Checkers” were surrendered into our care after a lovely couple rescued them from a life on the streets. While we’re so grateful they were given a second chance, their rough start means they’re still learning that humans can be kind.

The boys are quite timid and can be a little hissy when meeting someone new (it’s all part of their brave and totally fierce act). But sit with them, offer some gentle pats, speak softly, and you’ll quickly see those tiny walls begin to come down.

Having been through so much together, these two are each other’s biggest source of comfort, so we won’t be separating them. We’d love to find a patient, loving family who has the time and dedication to help them continue building confidence and discover just how wonderful life indoors can be.

Watching scared kittens learn to trust is one of the most rewarding journeys there is, and we know “Chess” & “Checkers” will make it worth every moment.

If you’d like to meet these handsome brothers, please give us a call today on 3264 7700. We have a feeling these two are just waiting for the right people to make their next move! ♟️🏡♟️

Adoption Cost:
The combined adoption fee for “Chess” & “Checkers” is $570. This includes their first F3 vaccination, microchipping, worming, flea treatment, a full vet check, and desexing (which occurs at 4 months of age and is recommended at the time of their third and final F3 vaccination).

To help your new baby settle into their forever home, we also offer $20 off Royal Canin Kitten dry food (available in 2kg or 4kg bags). All kittens go home on this food to avoid sudden diet changes and those dreaded upset tummies 💩 because happy bellies make happy kittens! 😻

Today we hit 30,000 followers on our page!!! 🙀🎉🐾

For a small, family run vet surgery… that’s not too shabby at all.

None of this would be possible without your love, support, and constant encouragement. Every like, share, comment and message has helped us grow this little community into something pretty special.

And honestly, the best part? The amount of people who tell us our posts put a smile on their face or brighten their day is just heartwarming. We set out to help animals… and somehow ended up accidentally helping human moods too. Win-win.

Animal people really are the best people.

Here’s to 30,000… we’ll try to stay humble, but no promises when there’s this many cute patients involved 🐱❤️🐶

A HUGE thank you to Loren & Maddie, the wonderful sister duo behind Pablo & Co. Boutique!!! 🐶🐱🐾

We’ve been long time fans (and repeat offenders when it comes to filling our carts), so when they reached out this week and asked if we’d be happy to accept a donation of stock for our rescue animals, we didn’t exactly need convincing.

What arrived was enough to make every rescue cat and dog in our care feel very spoiled indeed.

This is only a fraction of what they generously donated. We were absolutely blown away by the huge assortment of dog and cat leads, harnesses, collars and accessories they sent our way. These gorgeous goodies will be put to fantastic use with the animals in our care and will help them head off to their forever homes looking their best.

If you haven’t checked out Pablo & Co before, please do! They make some of the cutest pet accessories around, and the quality is second to none. Their designs are fun, colourful and beautifully made. Fair warning though… it’s almost impossible to buy just one thing 🤣

We are incredibly grateful to Loren & Maddie for their kindness and generosity. Supporting rescue animals in such a meaningful way is something we’ll never take for granted.

And yes, “Dobby” was quick to volunteer as tribute for a photo. He’s still got a little bit of growing to do before he properly fits into his new harness, but we think he wears it pretty well anyway 😍

Meet “Simba”! This handsome tabby and white gentleman was found wandering in Morayfield and taken in by a kind hearted lady who spent the last 5 weeks caring for him while trying to track down his owners. Despite her best efforts, nobody came forward to claim him, and with no microchip to help identify him, “Simba” has officially found himself back on the market 😻🏡💙

We estimate “Simba” is around 2 years old, and he’s a lovely bloke who firmly believes that pats, attention, and being told how handsome he is should be part of his daily routine.

The lady caring for “Simba” also had another cat. Unfortunately, “Simba” decided that sharing his home with another feline simply wasn’t part of his life plan. As such, we’d love to find him a home where he can reign as the one and only cat… and receive the royal treatment he feels is perfectly appropriate 👑

What “Simba” is really looking for is a human of his own, someone who can build a strong bond with him, spoil him rotten, and provide the level of admiration he feels is entirely reasonable.

In return, you’ll receive a handsome companion, a professional attention seeker, and a cat who is ready to leave his stray days firmly in the past.

If you’d like to meet the very dashing “Simba”, please call us today on 3264 7700. His schedule is currently wide open, aside from looking ridiculously good.

Adoption Cost:
“Simba’s” adoption fee is $185. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.

One thing we won’t tolerate on this page is hate toward animals.

On last night’s photo of “Dobby”… yes, the one where he was tucked up in his cosy blanket living his absolute best, zero stress life, a stranger decided to leave a comment that was not only unnecessary, but genuinely unpleasant.

They called him ‘an absolute (redacted)’, said he looks ‘made from 3 different junkyard dogs’, described him as ‘hideous’, and suggested he should be ‘thrown into a dustbin or off a pier asap’. All because… a small dog was asleep. In a blanket. On a Tuesday night. A truly impressive use of free time.

We’ll say this slowly for the people at the back: if a resting dog in a bed makes you that furious, it’s probably not the dog that needs adjusting.

“Dobby”, however, has declined to be involved in the drama. He’s currently unavailable for comment due to being warm, loved, and dramatically overqualified for internet opinions. The closest he’s come to reacting is a slight repositioning into maximum comfort.

It’s always fascinating how some people see softness and choose cruelty, while the rest of us see “Dobby” and think, yes, that’s a well adjusted little guy who has absolutely nailed the art of being cosy.

Meanwhile, the commenter appears to be running on a diet of misery and poor decisions, with no known side effects except publicly announcing them.

Anyway, comments like that don’t belong here. “Dobby” does. And he’ll continue doing what he does best: being adored, being cosy, and living proof that peace looks like a dog in a blanket who has never once asked for anyone’s opinion ✌️🐾

UPDATE: "Prince" has been adopted!

True to his name, “Prince” is a handsome little gentleman with a luxurious fluffy grey and white coat, adorable white mittens, and eyes that could convince almost anyone to rearrange their entire day around him! 👑😻🩶

At just 8 weeks old, “Prince” was surrendered to us through no fault of his own and is now searching for a family who will love and cherish him forever.

“Prince” is a sweet boy, but he can be quite shy and timid when meeting new people. He’ll need a patient and dedicated owner who is willing to take things at his pace and help him build confidence. With time, kindness, and plenty of gentle encouragement, we know “Prince” will blossom into a loyal and loving little companion.

If you think you might be the special person this little prince has been waiting for, please call us on 3264 7700 to arrange a time to meet him! 🙏🏡❤️

Adoption Cost:
We rehome all of our rescue kittens in an adoption package of $285.

UPDATE: "Mango" & "Peaches" have been adopted!

Meet “Mango” & “Peaches”, two irresistible 8 week old champagne ginger kittens looking for a home together! 🥭😻🍑

“Mango” is the handsome little man on the left, while “Peaches” is the fluffy princess on the right. Together, they are a double serving of sweetness with just the right amount of mischief.

These gorgeous siblings were rescued by one of our wonderful clients from a hoarding situation. Since then, they have spent the last few weeks with their family, receiving lots of love, socialisation, cuddles, and learning that humans are pretty great servants.

Now surrendered into our care, “Mango” & “Peaches” are ready to find a forever family of their own. These two are very bonded and absolutely adore each other. As such, we are looking for a home where they can continue their adventures side by side forever.

If you’d like to arrange a time to meet “Mango” & “Peaches”, please call us on 3264 7700! 🏡❤️🐾

After the sadness of Saturday afternoon, this weekend brought a much needed dose of tiny calico sweetness 🖤🧡😻

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of looking after Sophie’s little “Maeve”. “Maeve” was introduced to the page back in May after being found as a stray, and has been lovingly hand raised by Sophie ever since. Her official legal name is “Maeve Maureen”.

With Sophie away for the weekend, I was entrusted with the extremely important responsibility of caring for this pocket sized boss lady.

As for “Marlin”, he took his role as temporary big brother very seriously. He checked on her, kept her company, and was completely fascinated by the tiny creature wrapped up like a burrito on the couch. “Maeve”, meanwhile, seemed blissfully unaware of the significance of meeting such an important gentleman.

Enjoy some photos of “Maeve Maureen” and her devoted temporary bodyguard, “Marlin” 🫶

Just for anyone asking, “Maeve” is not available for adoption… she is very much part of Sophie’s family 💕

We said goodbye to little “Juno” this afternoon 🤍

This is the awful side of rescue that nobody ever wants to talk about. The side that keeps you awake at night. The side that breaks your heart into pieces. The side where, despite all the love, care, hope, and effort in the world, you still lose them.

“Juno” arrived into our care just 12 days ago after being found as a stray in Clontarf. Tiny, fragile, and already facing more than any kitten ever should.

She was diagnosed with rickets by Dr Brook & Dr Kristie. Despite everything stacked against her, “Juno” was an absolute fighter. She had the most beautiful spirit and a determination that made everyone who met her fall in love with her.

Over the past 12 days, she received treatment, good nutrition, and around the clock care. She was syringe fed, medicated, monitored, cuddled, and adored by so many people. Every tiny gain felt like a victory, and we all hoped she would be one of the lucky ones.

Sadly, this afternoon “Juno” took a turn for the worse and had to be placed in an oxygen chamber.

As much as I wanted to keep fighting for her, I knew she was telling us she was tired. I made the decision and asked Dad to kindly help her find peace.

The thing that will stay with me forever is that “Juno” was purring right until her last breath.

Even at the end, she was still trusting us.

I’m so sorry, precious girl.

I’m sorry that life was so unfair to you. I’m sorry that your body couldn’t keep up with your fighting spirit. I’m sorry that we couldn’t give you the future you deserved.

Thank you to every single member of our team who loved “Juno” as if she were their own. Thank you to Dr Allen, Dr Brook & Dr Kristie, and our incredible nurses, who spent countless hours syringe feeding her, checking on her, cheering for every tiny milestone, and giving her comfort when she needed it most. She may only have been with us for a short time, but she was deeply loved by every person who cared for her.

“Juno” will be buried in the backyard of the surgery.

Tonight, our hearts are shattered.

I will be taking a few days away from the page.

Run free, beautiful “Juno”. Thank you for letting us love you. You will not be forgotten 🌈🤍🪽
