πŸπŸŽ“ Future Vet in Action πŸŽ“πŸ

We recently had the pleasure of hosting final year CSU vet student Audrey.

Audrey jumped straight into rural vet life with a keen interest in pets, livestock and horses alike. Pictured here helping Brian recover after his procedure.

We wish Audrey all the best with her final rotations/studies this year. 🩺

🐣🐰 Happy Easter 🐰🐣

We hope you and your families (furry, feathered and everything in between) have a safe Easter weekend! 🍫🐰

A quick reminder to keep those Easter goodies out of reach of pets β€” chocolate, hot cross buns and foil wrappers can all cause some very un-festive vet visits.

Our on call vet is available when the clinic is closed from 7:30am until 9pm.
Outside of those hours, please call ARH or CVES in Canberra for 24 hour vet care.

Gorgeous orphan foal Thumbelina πŸ’•πŸ΄

This very special girl visited us last week for an important plasma IgG transfusion.

Being orphaned at birth is incredibly challenging for newborn foals. Without receiving enough high quality colostrum from their mum, they miss out on essential antibodies that protect them from infection.

After testing showed low IgG antibody levels, our team performed a plasma transfusion to help boost this little one's immune system!

Caring for orphaned foals takes a village and we were happy to be one small part of Thumbelina's journey. She's now back at home receiving lots of TLC from her dedicated family.

If you ever have concerns about a newborn foal - especially colostrum intake or early nursing - don't hestitate to reach out. Early intervention makes all the difference! 🐴✨️

βœ¨οΈπŸ• Litter Consult - Update πŸ•βœ¨οΈ

Due to NSW Government changes of legislation, as of 1st December 2025, when microchipping a litter of puppies we will require owners to have a Breeder Identification Number (BIN).

You can apply for a BIN online by using/creating a NSW Pet Registry account using your MyServiceNSW login details at the following link.
https://petreg.nsw.gov.au/my

A BIN is required for any litters whether intended, accidental or a one-off.
It is recommended to apply as soon as you are aware of your dogs pregnancy.

🎸🐐 Rockstar Goats 🐐🎸

Recently we had the pleasure of hosting two famous (in their paddock at least) little legends - Ziggy and Zeplin.

These two cool kids were in for ring castration, which included appropriate pain relief before, during and after the procedure, which kept our tiny headliners as comfortable as possible.

Both were absolute champs and are now at home resting up.

Rock on boys 🎡🐐
