Our Brussels Sprouts (Macey x Miki) are approaching the five week old mark. They're more confidently venturing into their outdoor pen and their little personalities are beginning to emerge as they interact and play with one another.

One of the most important parts of raising confident, resilient puppies is knowing when to introduce new experiences (and when to slow down!).

We intentionally expose our puppies to new sights, sounds, textures and situations gradually and thoughtfully. While positive exposure helps build confidence, too many changes all at once can quickly become overwhelming for a young puppy and may unintentionally reinforce fear or uncertainty.

By layering experiences in a safe, supportive way, we allow our puppies to process the world at a pace that promotes curiosity, resilience, and trust. Confidence is not built through flooding puppies with stimulation, rather it is built through gentle, successful experiences repeated over time.

29 days old today and pups' first experience outdoors on the grass. Videos to come later.
