The Dog House FarmStay came about through a wish to have a dog, however we are keen NParks goers, so have decided to wait to have a dog of our own and in the meantime we look after other pooches, both locals and visitors of Beechworth alike! We have a max of 4 dogs policy for sleepovers and a secure yard to engage and play with your doggo. Walks in the 'hood and snoozing on the veranda couch, play
ing tag of war or fetching a ball, helping Resi to bake a cake or w**d the veggie patch or go for a bike ride with Vince is all included in their stay.

Hey hey hey everyone!! It’s Cosmo! 🎉 I’m a wiggly black Lab pup who just can’t stop my tail (or my whole body, really) from shimmying with excitement.
I’m happy to see EVERYONE, all the time – 24/7 smiles guaranteed! I’m a big people pleaser, even if I’m still learning how to stand up for myself. But no worries – that’s where my big sis Margi has my back.

Rain, shine, wind or drizzle – our hikes go ahead 7 days a week. Dogs don’t mind the weather, and neither do we! Every hike is a chance for your pup to sniff, explore, and adventure in the Stanley Forest.

The Dog House Farm Stay started because I really, really would like a dog but I also enjoy visiting national parks and the two don’t mix in Australia.
I started to help a friend out who has a B&B, but does not let dogs stay, as a way for her guests to be able to come on holiday and bring their pooch along. From there a few friends and some word of mouth meant I have decided to make it a bit more of a regular activity.
Your pooch will be living with us, in our house on a 12 acre block in Lawrie Road (off Fighting Gully Road) and if you wish with his own basket and toys, you are welcome to come and take him for walks or just leave his/her for the length of stay, either is fine with us. He will get a good walk in the morning and then spend the time with us on the farm, rounding chickens, playing with the goats or just enjoying the sunshine on the veranda.
We offer:
Day Care where you bring your fluffball anytime from 8am onwards and collect him/her anytime up to 7pm. If you wish we can feed him/her however you will provide the food. The day will include a long walk of about 1hr and plenty of interaction during the day.
Night time where your pooch will stay with us overnight. If you are visiting Beechworth, you can come and pick him/her up during the day and go for a walk or just leave him/her here.
Day Walk as it says, 1hr walk in your neighbourhood, usually in the morning, usless specified otherwise.
We like dogs and therefore will make sure they will have a great time whilst staying at our small farm, there will be plenty of fresh clean water available at all times and comfy places to curl up and snooze. If you wish us to feed your pooch, then by all means bring along his favourite meal and we will do the rest.
There won’t be more than two dogs at anyone time and will only happen when we know the dogs well as we don’t like to play referees! It will also mean your dog will receive the attention it deserves!
