๐พ HOOMAN OF THE DOG HOUSE
Meet Resi โ The Human Behind The Dog House
Italian by birth. Australian by choice.
Adopted by Wales for over twenty years.
Now proudly calling Beechworth home.
Dog lover. Behaviour nerd. Eternal optimist.
And the human who dreamed up The Dog House.
Before there was a single wagging tail through the gate, there was a simple idea.
What if dogs could stay somewhere that felt less like a kennel... and more like home?
That idea slowly grew into what The Dog House Farm Stay is today.
A place where dogs sleep indoors. Where every guest is known by name. Where muddy paws are welcomed, sniffing is encouraged, and every day is shaped around what the dogs need.
Resi's journey with dogs began long before The Dog House. As a former veterinary nurse, qualified dog trainer and clinical canine behaviour student, she's spent years learning not just how dogs behave... but why.
That curiosity has never stopped.
Whether she's researching the latest science, playing games in the paddock, making dehydrated treats in the kitchen, or planning the next adventure for the pack, there's always one question in the back of her mind:
"How can life be even better for the dogs?"
Around here, you'll rarely find her sitting still.
One minute she's welcoming new guests, the next she's answering client messages, baking pizzas for volunteers, creating social media posts, organising a Hike in the Woods, or dreaming up the next big idea before the current one has even finished.
Fortunately, she has Vince.
Because every dreamer needs someone who gently reminds them that there are only so many hours in the day.
The Dog House has become much more than a business.
It's a home.
A community.
A place where dogs are celebrated, volunteers become family, and clients become friends.
And that's exactly how Resi hoped it would be.
The Dog House was built for dogs.
But its heart has always been the people who love them.
