Jacko was a great beginners pony on Christmas Day. He took my daughter and my sister, both beginners, for a spin and looked after them beautifully.

Then I hopped on and he went back to “let’s have a gallop” mode. Love this horse so much.

Just for something different, and to support our local Australian Stock Horse branch, Jack and I headed up to the Goulburn Murray ASH Branch show a couple of weeks ago with Jack’s yearling son, Pants, in tow. It was super hot but the boys were great.

We’re not show people but Jack managed to win enough second places to score the High Point Novice Horse of the show! Such a lovely surprise! I was particularly proud to win second in tAshlar Pulse Therapyrse class amongst a strong field.

Took Jack out to his first comp in about a year, a lovely home club Dressage Jackpot at Yack Riding Club. Jack was a bit rusty on counter canter but behaved so well and we came home with a 5th place ribbon in the overall jackpot. This horse is so versatile and has a temperament that can’t be beaten.

Took Jack out to a dressage clinic with the wonderful Manuela McLean and Jacko was standing there looking so handsome I just had to take a photo! He’s going so well, it’s amazing. You wouldn’t know he’s been out for 6 months with stringhalt!

He’s standing this season so if you’re keen to have a foal with a beautiful temperament, movement and strong conformation then Jack’s your guy.

Jack and I recently participated in a fantastic demonstration of Working Equitation event at Wangaratta show. What a great way to showcase the fun, training and skill required to compete in our wonderful sport. Jack was a superstar given the rides, animals and people all around us.

Jack is available to cover mares now. Service fee is $1100 inc gst for this season only. Next season will be $1650 so if you’ve been considering using Jack for your mare now is the time!

A fabulous weekend at the Victorian State Working Equitation Championships. Jacko performed beautifully and we came away Reserve Champion of the Debutante W class. A really strong team performance and a fantastic team effort in the Cattle phase saw us win the Team Championship this year!

Thank you Working Equitation North East Victoria Inc, wenev.com.au and Forge's Farm for a wonderful, friendly experience. Kayleen Chatfield, Christine Staats and Kerry Bryant, you are the best team mates!

Once again, Jack showed his incredible temperament and athleticism, getting a lot of lovely comments and admiring pats. He is available for AI or live cover and his progeny are available to view.
