Jack just had a week on loan with a wonderful Canadian rider, Randi DeBruyne, staying with great mates Christine Staats and Kerry Bryant. Randi rode Jack in the Victorian Working Equitation State Championships and had a fantastic weekend. Not only was Jack super easy to have around, but he scored some ribbons in a big class!

Jacko was a great beginners pony on Christmas Day. He took my daughter and my sister, both beginners, for a spin and looked after them beautifully.

Just for something different, and to support our local Australian Stock Horse branch, Jack and I headed up to the Goulburn Murray ASH Branch show a couple of weeks ago with Jack’s yearling son, Pants, in tow. It was super hot but the boys were great.

We’re not show people but Jack managed to win enough second places to score the High Point Novice Horse of the show! Such a lovely surprise! I was particularly proud to win second in tAshlar Pulse Therapyrse class amongst a strong field.

Took Jack out to his first comp in about a year, a lovely home club Dressage Jackpot at Yack Riding Club. Jack was a bit rusty on counter canter but behaved so well and we came home with a 5th place ribbon in the overall jackpot. This horse is so versatile and has a temperament that can’t be beaten.

Took Jack out to a dressage clinic with the wonderful Manuela McLean and Jacko was standing there looking so handsome I just had to take a photo! He’s going so well, it’s amazing. You wouldn’t know he’s been out for 6 months with stringhalt!
