🐾 Ollie’s Tail Journey 🐾

What a journey it’s been for sweet Ollie!

Following his tail amputation, Ollie’s recovery took time, teamwork, and plenty of tender loving care. Through every recheck, medication, and quiet recovery at home, his devoted Mum was by his side every step of the way, working closely with his veterinary team to help him heal.

We’re so pleased to share that Ollie is now doing so well! Watching his confidence return and seeing him happy and comfortable again has been the best outcome we could hope for

Ollie’s story is a beautiful reminder of how much can be achieved when pet parents and veterinary teams work together. Following veterinary advice and staying committed to aftercare can make such an important difference in helping our pets recover and thrive.

A huge congratulations to Ollie’s wonderful Mum for all the love, patience, and dedication she gave throughout his journey 💞

Great job Ollie! We’re all so proud of you

Today, we pause to honour and remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who have served and continue to serve on ANZAC Day 🇦🇺🇳🇿

At Baldivis Vet Hospital, we reflect on the spirit of the ANZACs. Bravery, mateship, and dedication. Values that continue to inspire us in the way we care for our patients and support our community.

We remember the men, women and animals who gave so much for our country, and we extend our gratitude to all who have served. Their legacy lives on in the freedoms we are fortunate to have today.

Lest we forget.

Today we celebrate World Veterinary Day 🐾💙

A huge, heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Baldivis Vet and to all veterinarians, nurses, and support staff everywhere. Your dedication goes far beyond what most people see. From comforting worried pet parents, to handling emergencies, performing life-saving surgeries, and showing endless compassion to every animal that walks through your doors. You truly do it all.

You are there on the best days, welcoming new puppies and kittens into the world, and on the hardest days, providing care, guidance, and kindness when it matters most. Your resilience, knowledge, and genuine love for animals make an immeasurable difference in the lives of both pets and their families.

Working long hours, often behind the scenes, you continue to show up with patience, empathy, and professionalism — even when the job is emotionally and physically demanding. That kind of dedication does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for advocating for those who can’t speak, for treating every patient like your own, and for being such an essential part of our community.

Today and every day, we appreciate you more than words can say 🥰

Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week to the true masters of multitasking, miracle-workers, and the people who somehow keep smiling through the daily chaos.

From all of us across the hospital, we want to say how genuinely grateful we are for every single one of you.

Your role is so much more than answering phones, booking appointments, and greeting clients. You are the first impression of our hospital, the first calm voice people hear, and so often the people who set the tone for everything that follows. On some of our busiest, hardest, and most emotional days, that means more than words can say.

You handle so much every single day. Worried clients, emotional situations, endless ringing phones, shifting schedules, last-minute changes, questions from every direction, and the kind of chaos that should probably require a headset, a whistle, and air traffic control training. Yet you continue to show up with kindness, patience, humour, and so much heart.

You are problem-solvers, organisers, peacemakers, counsellors, communicators, and the glue that holds so much together behind the scenes. You keep things moving when the wheels are wobbling, you make clients feel heard and supported, and you help the rest of us more than you probably realise.

What we appreciate most is not just everything you do, but the way you do it. The warmth, compassion, resilience, and care you bring to this place never goes unnoticed. This job is not easy. A lot of the time it is really tough. It takes a very special kind of person to do it well.

We are so lucky to have such a large team of genuinely wonderful receptionists, and we are incredibly lucky to work alongside you.

Thank you for the patience you show, the care you give, the humour you bring, and the countless things you do every day that help this hospital run better. Even when things are hectic, messy, or feel one small inconvenience away from total collapse, you are still there keeping it all together.

You are valued, appreciated, and very deserving of being celebrated. Not just this week, but every week.

Thank you for all that you do, and for being such an important part of this team. 💙

Helping little eyes see more clearly 👁️🩷

Dr Stephen Rabie performed a delicate procedure on Yumi to remove a dermoid from her eye — a condition where hair and tissue grow on the surface of the eye. Surgery went smoothly, and Yumi is now on the road to a much more comfortable (and clearer!) future.

With the help of some eye drops, pain relief, and plenty of rest, we’re expecting a great recovery for this sweet girl🩷

Thanks for being such a great patient Yumi!
