🌷🐾 Rolling Into a New Season of Pet Care! 🐾🌷

As the seasons change, so do the needs of our furry friends. Whether it’s the warmer days bringing more outdoor adventures, or cooler evenings meaning snuggles by the heater, we’re here to keep tails wagging and whiskers happy all year round.

Here’s what to keep in mind as we step into the new season:

βœ… Seasonal Health Checks – Perfect time for a nose-to-tail exam to catch any changes early.

βœ… Parasite Protection – Fleas, ticks, and worms can thrive in new weather patternsβ€”let’s stay ahead.

βœ… Allergy Awareness – Pollen, dust, and grasses can trigger itchy skin, runny eyes, or sneezing. We can help with relief options and prevention tips.

βœ… Senior Pet TLC – Cooler mornings or hotter days can make joints a little stiff. Gentle care makes a big difference.

βœ… Travel Readiness – Planning trips? We can make sure vaccinations are sorted and provide vaccination certificates.

The best part? We come to you! Less stress for your pet, more convenience for you. 🏑

πŸ“£ Wooroloo Downgraded! πŸ“£

The mammoth blaze we have been fighting to contain has finally been downgraded to a Bushfire Advice!

This has been an incredibly complex incident, with over 800 emergency services personnel and firefighters from several different services, working together each day to protect lives.

It has been most challenging for those who have lost homes to this devastating fire. Their loss is felt strongly by the entire emergency services family, and we stand by you during this difficult time.

We think this photo sums up our collective relief – thank you sincerely for your ongoing support and patience. There is still much to be done before the area is completely safe, and we will continue to work around the clock to keep you informed and safe.

⚠️ PERTH DOG OWNERS ⚠️

There have been increased reports of dogs with respiratory disease in the Perth metropolitan area. Respiratory disease in dogs is a very common disease which is reported by owners worldwide.

Owners of dogs that visit areas frequented by large numbers of dogs, e.g. boarding kennels, doggy daycare, dog playgrounds, dog parks and the local dog beach, should be aware of the signs to look out for.

Pathogens causing respiratory disease are usually transmitted via direct contact (nose to nose and nose to butt) and indirect contact (sharing water bowls).

It is a common disease amongst social dogs, but it is important to be reminded of the symptoms to lookout for in your furry friends:

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Being quieter than usual

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Loss of appetite

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Having trouble breathing

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Coughing

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Runny nose

To minimise the risk of your dog contracting respiratory disease, please make sure your fur buddy is up to date with their vaccinations, in particular kennel cough vaccine. The vaccine does not prevent your dog from contracting a respiratory disease but it will reduce the severity of the infection. 🐾

If you are at all concerned or you need to book a vaccination, please visit www.themobilevets.com.au to book online or contact The Mobile Veterinarians on 0451 715 747.

Note, that these are also common symptoms for heart disease and we still recommend contacting the vet for diagnosis and treatment. 🐢
