The BEFORE and AFTER of a scale and polish!

When your pet comes in for a dental, they are under a general anaesthetic which is monitored closely by our experienced nurses whilst our vets assess and probe every single tooth!

Every tooth is charted and some teeth are radiographed (we always recommend dental X-rays!) to assess the tooth root health prior to extraction.

Keeping your pets teeth clean and pristine is important for their quality of life, comfort and general health.

The scary statistic that 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of 3 have active dental disease.

By promoting dental care (which can often be overlooked in pet care) we can improve pets quality of life and preserve teeth for the long haul!

We encourage our clients to bring something of comfort along for their pets when they’re in clinic for a procedure to help keep pets feeling as comfortable as possible. A toy monkey, a blanket, your tshirt - the possibilities are endless.

Our priority is always making sure your pet has a positive, low stress experience in the clinic 🤍🌿

Not only does this help with future vet visits but minimising patient stress leads to better recovery from sedation and anaesthetic, improved post operative recovery and improves anxiety and stress and fear levels at subsequent vet visits.
