‼ SCAM ALERT ‼

We have been made aware of a scam targeting pet owners via email, falsely claiming that their pets microchip has expired.
These emails look very legitimate, and include personal details such as the pets name, and microchip number.
The Dog and Cat Management Board has confirmed there has been no data breach of the official Dogs and Cats database. Genuine emails from them will NEVER include that level of personal information.

💡 TIPS
🐾 Do not click on links or provide any personal details
🐾 Contact your local council or the Dog and Cat Management Board directly if you are unsure about any communications you receive regarding microchips

😸 We aren’t sure they’ve taken into consideration those who have a permanent hot water bottle (in the shape of a cat) for 8 hours each night!

Happy to all the budding catisticians out there! 🐈️

🐾 TODAY we are wrapping up the Paws for Sick Kids challenge.

This means it is the last day to sponsor our team, as they get in their final km's with their doggy friends to reach their goal distances.

Together, we have sponsored 23 nights for sick and injured kids at the Ronald McDonald House, and the FVC team has walked over 370km's along side their pups. We couldn't have done it without the generosity of our friends, family, and clients.

It isn't too late to make a donation! If you would like to sponsor our team for one last day, click the link below.

❤ Thankyou

🎉 Exciting News from the Family Vet Centre Team! 🎉

We’re thrilled to share that Dr Nadine Miller is now a director of Family Vet Centre!

Many of you already know Dr Nadine for her 20 years of dedication, compassion, and the outstanding care she provides to both pets and their people—plus her special love for exotic pets! 💙🐾

Dr Justin Clancy remains as director, together they’ll continue to lead the clinic with the same values, care, and service you’ve come to know and trust.

Nothing’s changing about our team—just growing stronger for the future!

🦸 Meet our staff Monday 🦸

🌷 Veterinarian Stephanie - BV Biol, BVSc

Steph grew up in Melbourne, often leaving the big city to spend her holidays on her family's sheep farm. Her love of animals began at a young age, with her childhood pets and the sheep. Steph graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2020, and began her career in a small animal clinic in regional NSW. After 9 months at a small rural practice, she joined the large team that is Family Vet Centre in 2021. Steph has a special interest in surgery, and has completed additional study in this area. Outside of work, Steph enjoys taking care of her fish, and doting on her two dogs; Maggie the heeler, and Nelly the Labrador.

Steph is incredibly dedicated to her patients and their pawrents, making her regulars feel right at home when they visit FVC. Steph's skills and knowledge are an inspiration, and we all love having Steph, her bubbly personality, and her 'whoopsie doodle' moments as a part of our team.

🐾 We are officially HALF WAY through the PAWS for Sick Kids challenge

🐕 Our pawsitively fantastic team have been clocking their km's, and their side-kicks have been having such a brilliant time along the way!

🏆 From the generous support of our donors, we have so far managed to raise enough money to sponsor ‼ 15 nights ‼ of accommodation for sick kids and their families.

❤ THANKYOU for the ongoing support for our team, as they take on this challenge with their pooches. If you would like to make a donation, please click the link below.

🦸 Meet our staff Monday 🦸

🐥 Gabby - Business administration assistant and animal attendant

Gabby grew up moving year to year, interstate, as well as internationally. These experiences have given her a greater appreciation for her passion; which is animals. Having attained a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences, her knowledge in animal science is a great attribution to her role as an animal attendant at Family Vet Centre Boarding, which she commenced in 2022. Her time living in New Zealand amplified her love for the industry, as she used to go behind the scene at Auckland zoo after school, and spend time with the recovering Meerkats, thanks to her friends mother who was a veterinarian there at the time. Gabby's favourite part of working as an Animal Attendant at Family Vet Centre is the one on one time she gets to spend with each animal, ensuring they feel safe loved during their time away from their Families. Gabby feels this is important, as this is what she would want for her own precious pets, Lupo - a Kelpie x Blue Heeler, and Dotti - a Kelpie x Koolie.

Gabby's can do attitude, and nurturing instincts make working alongside her so easy. We are very lucky to have her in both our Boarding kennels, as well as in the Albury/ Wodonga clinics.
