Leewood Burmese Cats Leewood Burmese is in Adelaide South Australia. We specialise in the pastel colours, raising our kittens in our own home for superb temperament and type.

Our passion is for the O gene, producing creams, reds, and torties, our own pride of lions. I'm Michelle Hinder, and I have been breeding and showing beautiful Burmese cats for over ten years. I am an All Shorthair Judge with the Feline Association of SA. I am very active in the cat fancy in South Australia, and am very passionate about all cats. My cats are very successful show cats, and are beau

tiful house pets too. I raise my kittens in my home, as family members, and this assures that they will have an outgoing and friendly temperament when they join their new families. I attend all Feline Association of SA shows, and also attend the CCCA National Show each year with my cats. My stud boy GDCH Leewood Billy The Kid was Supreme Exhibit at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2014, and has many other Supreme in Show wins, as well as winning Kitten of the year. I am extremely proud of all of my cats. 🩷Starry’s babies are six weeks old🩷

Thank you to everyone who has emailed, messaged and commented regarding my babies.

I know it is difficult to wait on replies and availability.

We breed very few litters, as we work with horses, and you can imagine how fun that is in this stormy winter weather. I’m often out of range of my phone, and it’s a very busy and tiring life, though we love it.

For new followers, our next litters are in the planning stage now, hopefully we will have babies in August. My inbox has all relevant information, and further information is provided via email only.

Leewood litters are raised in our home. One of our bedrooms is a specific kitten nursery. It’s very important for Burmese to be raised underfoot, to ensure they have the temperament that they are renowned for. Kittens must get used to tvs, washing machine noises, taps running, microwaves beeping, ALL the hustle and bustle of human life.

A Burmese is the ultimate companion. They are so precious🥰 the comfort of that silky fur, loving purr, and big golden eyes is everyone’s dream🩷🩷🩷

Ruby’s kids are now four weeks and learning to eat solid food. It’s a messy time!! I have a tried and true technique for establishing solid food eating, and the kittens are here for it! We use Royal Canin Babycat Mousse, and our baby cats all thrive on it

No cat shows for Stella this week, just nice snuggly lazy mornings on the heated throw rug🩷

The next Feline Association of SA championship show is on the 15th June at Virginia Community Centre.

These shows are held monthly ish. They are under $5 to visit, and you can see over 100 cats, meet the breeders, visit with fellow cat lovers, and see Australian and International judges give critiques on our beautiful felines.
