Let Dogs Be Dogs
One of the greatest things we can do for our dogs is to stop viewing them through a human lens. Dogs aren't little humans in furry coats—they’re dogs. And they deserve to be understood as dogs.

We often unintentionally suppress their natural behaviours by projecting our own emotions onto them. But when we truly see our dogs for who they are, everything changes.

Dogs thrive with clear rules, boundaries, and communication.
They need structure, guidance, and consistency to feel safe and confident. When we take the time to watch them—really observe their body language, energy, and reactions—we begin to understand how they communicate with us.

Every dog is different.
Learn your dog’s personality. Discover their quirks, what lights them up, what stresses them out. Work with them, not against them, to help them live their best life.

It takes a village.
Find the right support team: a qualified trainer 🐾, a trusted vet 🩺, a patient and experienced groomer ✂️, and others who share your vision of a happy, healthy dog. The right team can make all the difference.

Training isn’t about control—it’s about empowerment.
Help your dog learn how to make good choices. Teach them right from wrong with calm, clear guidance. Remember: an anxious, uncertain dog is often one that hasn’t been given clear expectations. Boundaries aren’t restrictive—they’re supportive.

Things have been super busy behind the scenes, so here are some important updates on orders & bookings to keep you in the loop:

EASTER SHOPIFY ORDERS
Due to the long weekend, orders close TODAY – Monday, April 14th at 4PM
📦 Delivery to the salon: Tuesday, April 15th
⏰ Pickup times:
• Until 2PM Tuesday, April 15th
• Until 2:30PM Wednesday, April 16th
🐣 If you have a grooming appointment over the Easter weekend or public holidays, you're welcome to collect your order then!

ANZAC DAY ORDERS
🎖️ To work around the public holiday:
🛍️ Orders open Monday, April 21st
🕒 Orders close 3PM that day
🚚 Delivery: Tuesday, April 22nd

Keep Your Double-Coated Dog Healthy & Happy!

It's that time of year! Your dog's summer coat is shedding, and their winter coat is coming in. Regular brushing is great, but fine-tooth combing is the real game changer!

✅ Comb through their full coat at least once a week – all the way down to the skin.
🚫 Avoid blades – they can damage the hair!
🐕 Neglecting regular combing can lead to:
❌ Matting & compacted hair
❌ Overheating or trouble regulating body temperature
❌ Skin sensitivities & discomfort

💡 Pro tip: Always comb before AND after your dog gets wet for best results!

Your pup will thank you with a shiny, healthy coat and lots of tail wags!

This is a healthy amount of hair to come out. Can you imagine how much hair there would be if they didn't have a deshed regularly?

😅 Alrighty, the weather is up to its tricks again!

🐾 At this point, grooms on Friday, Feb 21st, are ok- we will be monitoring closely & will check in with everyone currently booked. Each dog reacts to the heat differently. It's incredibly important we do the right thing by the dogs & not push them in the heat.

😮‍💨 Saturday, Feb 22nd appointments. That's a different story. For those booked on, you can either wait to see if the weather drops below 35 degrees or we can reschedule now to a WEEK DAY only 😅 Please note that some dogs will need to reschedule if the temperature stays in the mid 30s as they are will be too hot to be groomed.

🐾 Order this week. Just in case the weather on Ftiday increases, let's play it safe. Orders will close this week, Monday, Feb 17th, and be delivered Wednesday, Feb 19th.

💌 What does this mean for admin? It means bookings will be delayed again. We need to first organize the current bookings affected by the weather. Then, we can continue to book in our existing canine pals for their pampering.

Attention all 🐾

Due to the extreme heat, we may not be able to operate on Monday Feb 10th, Tuesday Feb 11th, and Wednesday Feb 12th. Please keep an eye out for updates via text messages and our social media posts. We will need the temperature to drop below 35°C for us to reopen.

We’ve been closed this week due to the heat, and admin tasks are on hold for now. Dogs already booked in will take priority, so if any rescheduling is needed, they will be our focus.

About Us

Fluff n Stuff focuses on the de-shedding of large, double coated, dogs. Clipping is available, only to appropriate breeds. We are an appointment based salon. Clipping is available selected Monday's & Saturday's. De-sheds are available Monday - Saturday & selected Sunday's. Monday - Thursday after hours appointments may be available. Clips are not available after hours.

Appointments range from 1-3hours. Timing is different for every dog as we work at the dogs pace, to ensure every pup has the most relaxing experience possible. Our focus is to be a 1 on 1 salon, in which it is just the groomer & 1 families dogs at any given time. All dogs must be up to date with their current vaccination or provide an equivalent (titre test). Proof must be shown on booking. We are proud to stock the following brands; - Veggie Paws - Koda's Korner - Petway - Progroom - A variety of brushes and combs - All products are vegan & cruelty free
