What a day for
6 runners and 6 cheques..
But the horse that stole the show was the 3yr old Buffalo Bill, by Buffalo Bill Cody (IRE) out of Nespresso by Western Winter (USA).
First time on the poly, first time over the 1400m, and he trounced the opposition under a confident ride by Wayne Agrella.

New comer POMEROL the 3 yr old filly by Legislate - Celigny (USA) by Mr Greeley (USA) gets it right on the second time of asking in the Eastern Cape under a great ride by Charles Ndlovu.

The South African racing fraternity suffered a severe blow this morning after the passing of an incredible trainer, husband, father, brother and friend.
Gavin Smith you will leave a huge void in our life, especially in the trainers ranks in Port Elizabeth.
My heartfelt condolences to Marilyn, Dean Smith Abbi, Andrew Smith, family and friends.
R.I.P Smithy you will be sorely missed 😢
