What can we do in our lab at Sterkspruit Veterinary Clinic?
o Blood smear analysis with a microscope
o Cytology analysis with a microscope (looking at lumps and fluids)
o Faecal analysis - worm egg floatation, smears and egg counts
o Urine analysis -strip and smears
o Blood chemistry analysis with our in-house Idexx Blood Chemistry machine
o Afrivet V-check machine for disease detection such as Parvo virus
Why are these tests so important?
It is always our goal to get to a diagnosis (worm burdens, crystals and bacteria in urine, early detection of disease).
With our lab, we are able to get results in just a few minutes. This helps us treat your pet more accurately.
