Giving back, one act of kindness at a time. 🤍

On Mandela Day, our team stepped away from the hospital and into the heart of The Society for Animals in Distress sanctuary, where we spent the day helping maintain the horse and donkey paddocks.

As veterinary professionals, caring for animals is at the heart of everything we do. It was incredibly meaningful to spend the day supporting an organisation that pours so much love, dedication, and compassion into giving vulnerable animals a second chance.

Mandela Day reminds us that even the smallest acts of service can leave a lasting impact. We hope that our few hours of lending a hand will help make life a little easier for both the incredible team at Animals in Distress and the animals they care for every day.

For nearly 12 years, Natasha has been one of the friendly faces greeting clients and their pets at Fourways Vet Hospital. 💙

From excited puppies arriving for their first visit to senior pets who have been part of the FVH family for years, Natasha has had the privilege of sharing in countless journeys. As part of our reception team, she loves getting to know our clients and their beloved companions, building genuine connections and helping everyone feel welcome from the moment they walk through our doors.

What Natasha treasures most about her role is watching pets grow through the years and being a small part of the bond they share with their families. She believes that a warm smile, a kind word, and a caring approach can make all the difference, especially when pets and their owners may be feeling anxious.

When she's not at FVH, Natasha enjoys expressing her creativity through photography 📸, baking delicious sourdough bread 🍞, and spending time with her beloved clowder of cats 🐱.

Two kinds of donors. One incredible cause. ❤️️🐾🩸

On Saturday, something truly special happened at Fourways Veterinary Hospital.

Humans rolled up their sleeves. Dogs bravely stepped forward. And together, our community showed just how powerful one act of kindness can be. 💙

Paws for a Cause was more than a blood drive. It was a day filled with wagging tails, generous hearts, and a community coming together to give others a second chance at life.

To every human blood donor and every incredible canine donor, thank you. ❤️️ Your donation could mean more time, more memories, and more moments with the ones who matter most.

A very special thank you to the Excalibur K9 Law Enforcement team and their incredible airport dogs, who came out to donate blood and help save the lives of fellow canine patients. 🐕‍🦺❤️️ These remarkable dogs already play an important role in helping keep us safe, and on Saturday, they stepped up in yet another extraordinary way: as canine blood donors. To their handlers and every four-legged hero who donated, we are incredibly grateful. 🐾
