As if that wasn’t enough, Felicity has also been selected to represent Gauteng at Youth Champs on the Open Team 🇿🇦🔥

We were incredibly fortunate to be part of the KZN Breeders Tour to Cape Town — a truly special experience.

Having produced (and fed) many young Thoroughbreds, it was a rare opportunity to witness the class, scale, and professionalism of the Cape’s leading operations firsthand.

What made it even more meaningful was the camaraderie among fellow KZN breeders — all of us connected by a shared passion for horses and our home in KZN.

An inspiring few days, and a sincere thank you to the organisers and hosts for their generosity.

The Benson family, who established Spurwing Horse Feeds over 30 years ago, have always been farmers at heart — and that foundation continues to shape everything we do today.

Our maize, currently being harvested in the Karkloof Valley, is grown right here on our own farms. This allows us to stay closely connected to the quality, consistency, and integrity of the raw materials that go into every ration.

Once harvested, the maize is carefully stored in our silos under ideal conditions, ready to be used in our extruded energy and conditioning supplements. These highly digestible products also form part of our Grain-Inclusive range of meals.

All of this is produced in our dedicated horse feed mill, where every step is centred around what matters most: consistent, quality nutrition for the horse.
