Biliary in pets! ⚠️
We are seeing a dramatic rise in Biliary cases in pets with this warm weather.
We advise you to all please make sure your pets are protected from ticks!

Prevention of Biliary/Tick Fever:
Currently we advise the use of veterinary approved products, namely: Bravecto, Nexgard and the latest Simpirica.These products are the safest on the market and are highly effective at killing ticks and thus preventing the disease.

Products such as dips and shampoos can kill ticks but we regard these products as less effective compared to the above mentioned products and can be extremely dangerous especially to cats and young puppies & kittens.

Finley’s Naughty Day😻
(A Rhyming Tale)

At Midlands Vet, when the day had begun,
Finley the cat was ready for fun.
With tabby stripes and whiskers so neat,
He plotted adventures from head to his feet.

He leapt to the desk with a confident bound,
Blocking the screen as staff gathered ‘round.
“Good morning, dear humans, I’ve got a new plan—
To halt all your work, just because I can!”

Reception sighed, “Oh Finley, please go!”
But Finley just blinked, with a slow, lazy “No.”
He swished his tail and settled right there,
Enjoying the fuss and the staff’s despair.

Off to the treatment room Finley then crept,
Where Lillian worked while a puppy pup yelped.
He sprawled on her clipboard, paws in the way,
Batting her pen when she tried to write “Stay!”

“Finley, be good!” she laughed with a groan,
But he just purred in a satisfied tone.
After some chaos, he trotted outside,
For sunshine and pigeons and leaves to collide.

He rolled in the grass, the sun warm and bright,
Closing his eyes—it felt just right.
And as he dozed in his sunny domain,
He dreamt of tomorrow… to cause mischief again!
