We get it — you’re trying to get from A to B. You weren’t expecting to slow down for a horse and rider on the road.

But here’s the thing: horses aren’t machines. They’re flight animals. Even the best-trained horse can panic in the face of noise, speed or pressure. And many of our riders are young, still learning — just like their ponies.

With your patience and cooperation, we can keep everyone safe.

⛔️ Here are a few things to keep in mind:

⚠️ Never assume the horse is road-safe — even calm horses can spook without warning.
⚠️ Be especially careful on bends or narrow roads — a rider could be just around the corner.
⚠️ Give horses time to cross — don’t rush or try to squeeze past.
⚠️ If riders are two abreast, they’re likely calming or supporting a younger horse. It’s not inconsiderate — it’s safer.
