IS MY HORSE BLACK OR DARK BAY?

Dark bays often masquerade as blacks. Here’s how to tell the difference:

Look at the soft areas:
• Around the muzzle
• Inside the flank and elbow
• Inside the hind legs
• Around the eyes

Dark bays usually have warm undertones - caramel, red, or golden hues that appear in sunlight or when clipped.

True blacks remain cool-toned and charcoal even where the coat is thinnest.

This incredible young lady and her unicorn pony made us super proud once again!!! Due to some unforseen circumstances they didn't have much time to practice for nationals but they did amazing and got a 6th out of 30 horses and helped the Gauteng team win a 4th...

We are super proud of you Sussa and off course your amazing unicorn Sweet As Honey!!! Without this unicorn none of this would be possible!!!

What a show!!🥳

Well done to all the Resné riders who rode at the Equivest show!!! With some riders doing new classes and another one showing in her very first show we got some amazing results!!

This was Zoey's first show and she did amazing!

Dominique and her unicorn Sweet As Honey
🥇 in her very 1st 70cm jumping class

🥉 in Best trot
🏵 unfortunate did not place in her 60cm class due to no fault of her own or her pony.
