ACRE🐾🐾
Our big boy has been adopted🎉. Thank you to everyone from near, far and very far who offered Acre a home ... our adoption rules are strict and we waited for the perfect 'fit'.
A lovely lady fell in love with him and would visit our kennels every day, sometimes twice, bringing treats and taking him for walks. Unfortunately she could not adopt him, but loved him and made his stay in the kennels very special ❤️.
Caroline, our Ops Co-Ordinator, inbetween her kennel commitments, also walked Acre regularly and kept a loving eye on him. Acre never messed in his kennel - he was far too polite or strategic🤔, this guaranteed him lots of walks - well beyond working hours.
And then a lovely couple showed interest in Acre. They travelled with their dogs for a meet and greet. With Phillip, June and Caroline all assisting, the meet and greet went very well!
Homecheck done and passed and all the rest ticked off, Acre was adopted🙌.
What a bitter/sweet moment it was for our staff and volunteers to say good-bye to our gentle giant, but we know he is going to a home where he has the space, love and care that he has been waiting for❤️.
Adoption saves lives.
