The Grahamstown SPCA serves the community of Grahamstown/Makhanda and surrounds by responding to cruelty complaints and reports of injured animals, doing routine inspections of facilities, and adopting out stray/unwanted animals. SPCA Grahamstown is the 4th time proud recipient of a grant from Animal-Kind International
The grant for "Project Amadoda" is part of Animal-Kind International's Africa

& Latin America/Caribbean Animal Welfare Organization Grant 2025. WE DO NOT RECEIVE MONEY FROM GOVERNMENT OR MAKANA AND RELY SOLELY ON THE GENEROSITY OF CARING INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES FOR DONATIONS TO KEEP GOING AND TO DO THE MUCH NEEDED WORK WITH ALL THE ANIMALS IN OUR AREA. SPCA LOGO USAGE:

THANK YOU, WE MOVE IT!
Today we needed to move shelving and display material into the Charity Shop stall at the Village Green in time for National Arts Festival🎉. Who stepped in to help .... Pieter Burger and the We Move It team! Thank you Pieter for your kindness and giving up your time. In no time everything had been moved and tomorrow we start stocking our stall with treasures! It's so wonderful to have local businesses, like We Move It, lending the SPCA a helping hand. We appreciate you!

Why is this happening so often? Where is the lifetime commitment to one's pets?
This beautiful pair of ginger brothers were kindly cared for by a neighbour when their owner moved and assured her they would be back for the cats when they settled. Weeks passed ...
no show😡.
When she managed to contact them they said they had got a kitten and didn't want the ginger pair anymore.
We need to find a home for these adorable brothers! Out of area applications are welcome.

Anrico left CT on 21/6 ahead of the bad weather. He reached Swellendam today!
