Our homestead has a number of goats for sale. We have put strong focus on natural disease resistance so as to decrease the incidence of illness and excessive human intervention. Our youngstock are weaned at approximately 4 months for males (or when they show sexual interest) and 5 months or more for females. We find that the temperament of our males tend to be very kind, respectful yet friendly and easy to handle when weaned later.

The youngstock are not seperated from their mothers at all until weaning so that they can receive as much benefit from their mother's milk as possible with the aim of raising a strong dairy goat that is naturally resistant to disease.

We've had a number of baby goats born in the last few weeks. They are all a mix of large dairy goat breeds - Toggenburg, Saanen and British Alpine with a bit of Nigerian Dwarf for hardiness. We have focused strongly on producing strong goats that can handle our harsh environment as well as a goat that will suit the average homesteader's dairy needs. We handle our babies as much as possible from young so that they are friendly and easy to work with.

Some of our babies are sold once they are weaned at the end of the year but some are still available with more on the way.

Some of our Speckled Sussex pullets on their way to their new home this morning - to a very dear repeat customer. We still have a couple of hens and roosters available. Pairs at R1200 each but we can also sell single roos and hens.

Another batch of our fresh free-range mixed size NON-GMO eggs are on their way to a customer this morning. Our chickens live outdoors in the day and are kept safely cooped at night. We raise them as organically as possible.
