Anxiety fades away when Teddy, Eddie and Frodo from Angel Paws KZN Coastal team sits beside you. No words needed, just presence.

Therapy dogs lower cortisol, lift serotonin, and remind us we're not alone - even in hospital rooms.

Angel Paws, brightening lives...one paw at a time 💙

These "healing hugs" at Netcare Linmed Pediatrics say it all. For children in hospital, a therapy dog isn't just a visit - it's a moment of joy, calm, and comfort when they need it most. Nothing beats the look on a child's face when a gentle paw and a wagging tail walk into their room and suddenly the hospital room feels a little less scary. Therapy dogs help reduce anxiety, lift moods, and give kids something to smile about during tough days.

We are so proud to share that our East Rand team of Angel Paws handlers and dogs are ready to brighten lives wherever they go.

Patients in rehabilitation facilities spend many hours working hard to overcome new physical and mental challenges. Our dogs contribute in small but meaningful ways. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists can incorporate the dogs into little exercises involving touch, sight, speech, and movement, helping to motivate and engage patients in their rehabilitation.

One of the other benefits was beautifully expressed by the patient on the left, who said that the presence of the dogs made him feel as though he were at home. That simple feeling of familiarity and comfort brought him great joy.
