Meet teeny-tiny Bambi 🖤 a newborn Cape Grysbok. We suspect his mom was caught in a snare 💔

After 48 hours of critical care, he is up on his feet. We had so little hope for him so extremely grateful he is so strong 💪 We will be hand-raising him until he can be released back into the wild 🌸 We will make sure it is a safe space…

🐶FRI-YAY and PATIENT OF THE WEEK🐾

My name is APOLLO "POLLY" ODENDAAL. I am a 7 year old Brindle Staffie. My ma named me after a greek god as I'm prone to mischief 😝 I LOVE LOVE LOVE food but my favourite is apples because it can double up as a toy 💙 My motto in life is cuddles first and everything else later... The most annoying thing about me is that I don't care if you are busy, you WILL LOVE ME NOW!!!

I had to visit WVC because I was a very naughty boy and had swallowed part of my Kong toy. I didn't get into any trouble at the time of the mischief because no one knew and it stayed in my stomach for almost a year!!! All was good on the Apollo spacecraft until it wasn't so good anymore...After a big surgery and 3 days in hospital I'm back on my feet and no longer the vomit comet ⭐️

A month later, I decided to eat a whole box of easter eggs and container of sour worms. It wasn't my fault, the easter bunny didn't leave me any to find so I just decided to go find their hiding spot in the kitchen when I was all by myself so I wouldn't need to share with anyone. Mom came home to find me very bloated & uncomfortable. With telephonic advice from WVC, she made me vomit it all up again. I'm still angry about that but she muttered something about chocolate isn't good for dogs and that the doctor said so...

Currently, I am feeling really great, busy plotting my next mischievous adventure while pretending to laze in the sun. I don't believe a word that my mom or doctor says about eating toys or chocolates, they taste perfectly deeeelicious to me 🤪

Throughout the clinic we have little sprinkles of words that help bring us back to our center. These words, "INHALE, EXHALE", are placed in our theatre, which not only help us to keep calm but also remind our patients to breathe under anaesthetic 😸

Sometimes life gets crazy and the pace is fast. Take a moment, take a deep breathe, feel the solid ground beneath your feet and realise everything is going to be okay 🖤
