CAT SEASON IS HERE - SPAY & NEUTER TO KEEP THEM SAFE!
🐱 September marks the start of mating season - and kittens can arrive sooner than you think!
Female cats can fall pregnant as early as 4 months. That’s why spaying is vital - not only to prevent unwanted litters but also to protect against mammary tumours and uterine infections.
Cats are most active breeders from September to March, though some cycle year-round. Females in heat will yowl, seek attention, and attempt daring escapes. Males will spray, fight, and wander in search of mates. Neutering calms these behaviours and keeps your cat healthier.
At Eldoraigne Animal Clinic, we use dissolvable stitches and effective pain relief for a stress-free recovery.

🐾 Fun Fact: One unspayed cat and her offspring can produce over 400,000 kittens in just seven years!
🔹 Top Tip: Neutered male cats should stay indoors for six weeks after surgery - they can still father kittens in that time!
